Played Friday Feb. 19th. Course is in good shape for winter golf and not have been over seeded. Had a 8:52 tee time and played in under 4 1/2 hrs. It's always a joy to play Coronado. It's still a good... Continue »

Got inspired by watching the Pros at the Farmers Insurance Open so I thought I'd try and get 9 in. Able to get off with 3 others no problem. We finished the front 9 just in time (I think it was arou... Continue »

Wind should be behind you, most likely coming from over your right shoulder when looking down fairway, so grip it and rip it. Short hitters just get it up in the air and add another 30-50 yards, big hitters aim towards mid/left of fairway, bunker is 250 to green. 2nd shot should be towards left side of fairway as that will leave you looking straight up green, even front left bunker not a bad place to be. Green slopes toward front right bunker. Pin in back right impossible to get to if 2nd shot winds up in right rough. HUGE tree guards right side of green. This is a huge hole to finish on and par is an excellent reward for good play, but it's also an easy hole to ruin a good round on, be careful...

Cut the corner at your own risk, the fairway bunker is actually double bunker and will keep you from reaching the green in two. Straight tee shot has chacne to roll through fairway and leave 2nd shot trouble. Really no trouble on 2nd shot unless you wind up in/past tree line on either side, especially right as OB is there. Green one of the easier ones read/putt. Birdie realistic score with par being average.
