With the greens recently punched, they were SLOWWWWWW! And no one seemed to care to repair their divots because of that. The course always presents a challenge for the high handicapper, but it's easy to to shot around 100 with well placed drives and smart play out of the rough. Teed off at 0620 and had senior players in front of us for the first 3 holes, then we were caught by a threesome on nine and after letting them through on 10, we had no one to worry about the rest of the round. Always a chance of a fog delay or frost delay (mid - late winter), but still worth getting there early.

Played this course on May 22, 2008. The course is in pristine shape. I have played this course in the past, and the greens are always smooth and fast, but with subtle undulations on most making it a fair test of golf. The fairways and rough on this day were absolutely pristine. I found only 1 or 2 divots in the fairways that were not seeded. The fairways are lush and green with a feel of hitting off a thick rug. There were no thin lies aroung the green, making for a very consistent short game experience. The fringe was always the sames length regarldess of the hole. We played at 6:30 AM, and there was one other gentlemen behind us. We finished our round at 10:00 AM. Definetely make the drive out to Ramona and play the course. It is worth every dollar! My compliments to the entire staff.

course in good shape. greens were smooth, and true. tee boxes very decent. sand was averege. layout is nice, lots of dogs. long iron hitters can score well. variety of expansive to tight fairways. only complaint was gully area with ground under repair along a stretch of holes. over all, greens bite, course fun to play. staff good. pace was 4.5 hours.

Played 1-13-07. Course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and were in excellent condition. Fairways were tightly mowed. Super should be thanked for the hard work they put in. Staff was friendly and courteous. Well worth the drive.

Tough course to play using driver, if you can't keep it in the fairway. The hills and water come into play often, therefore tee of with fairway woods.

I liked this course. Lots of mature oaks to play around if your not in the fairway. Greens were very quick and rolled true. Good time of year to play in Ramona.

As a owner in The Good Life condo's a round of golf is $11 dollars and when this course is in great shape like it is now it makes even more enjoyable. The greens were a little on the slow side and a little bumby but that didnt matter. I would make the drive and play at full price. Great layout.

Greens were puched a week or two ago and they were bumpy. Everything else about the course was in good shape except for a few uneven tee boxes and some water damage from heavy rains a few weeks ago. I like the course layout. There are a few tough driving holes and hidden dangers when playing for the first time like i was. overall a good round.

The course is in wonderful conditon and the staff is very friendly. The drive to the course may be a turn off form some, but if you like to golf on an uncrowded course make the effort to get to San Vicente. They Resort has stay and play packages that may make the drive a little more tolerable.

I was there in mid April and played the course 3 times. The staff was a little inconsiderate but the golf course made up for it. The greens were in pretty fair shape and the memebers take pride in the condition of the course personally. The fairways are nice and the tee boxes were fine. Over-all it looked like they were putting a few dollars into the course and was rounding into good shape. oh and by the way i still haven't made par on no#1 in five trys................
