Played this afternoon 2/8. Moorpark is in good condition. Some of the fairways were wet still due to the recent rains but were in very good shape. Never have a bad lie out here in the fairways. The rough has been grown up a bit around the greens and fairways and is lush and in good shape. I always putt well at Moorpark and love their bent greens. They were not rolling as quick as I remember from playing last time. They were holding iron shots like darts and overall were in good shape. The sand still had some wetness to it and overall was in good shape. I was in it quite a bit today and forget how much it can come into play around some of the green complexes. Moorpark CC has the best views in Ventura County...Lots of elevated tees....we played the Ridgeline-Canyon Crest Combo.....Ridgeline killed me while I ate up Canyon Crest........get out and play Moorpark CC, great course-great conditions.....there practice area and food is also very good.
