Course was in nice condition - greens were quick, but very firm, unable to stop anything! My only complaint is that as a walker, the distances are not very well marked.

Played today and course was in excellent condition. Wide open and no waits...just the way you like it. Service was great. Saw the cart girl three times in 18 holes and very friendly desk and service staff also. I felt the service was better here than at Moorpark CC or Angeles National, althought those courses are in the same good condition.

Huuuge greens and if you are above the hole just look out or you'll have at least 5 feet coming back. Fun course in very good shape. got around in about 4 1/2 hours starting at 2:00pm. Friendly staff, looking forward to playing there again when I'll be able to tap a little bit of "local knowledge"

New policy of free range balls with round today, don't now if it is everyday or not, but very nice touch. Also the $5 charged in the past for the use of the GPS in the cart was never mentioned, also nice.
Many upgrades noted on course to enhance playablity and overall condition, most impressive.
Our gruop has always felt Sterling was amongst the best options for public play in V.C. and it is only getting better.

Played Monday August 1st early morning two some. Got around in 3:15. Course is in good shape, bunkers excellent, fairways and rough good to very good condition. Greens good with some ball marks, but healing. Greens have color changes where previous marks have healed, but don't effect putting. Med fast and fairly soft, usually less than 1/2 club roll. Excellent service especially around the club house. Marshall's kept coming by and checking on pace of play. Great course and value.

Played on May 1st. Longer than average round. We teed off at 8:30 in the AM. Course is in great condition. The greens are almost concrete hard. If you aren't in the fairway, you stand no chance of sticking it close, unless you rely on running it up to the flag. Fringe and approaching fairway are also hard, so if you are betting on the fringe as a good landing spot to slow non-spinnable chips when you've short-sided yourself be ready for long putts to save par. Kudos to a course that appears to be a little on the short side from the blue tees, yet is still challenging. All the 5's are reachabelf or me, yet I only walked away playing them in 1 under.

Because of geography, I do not have the opportunity to play this course very often (125 nile drive) I hadn't played here since 2002. The course has matured nicely. It is in great condition, particularly the greens, next to Robinson Ranch, the best around! The course is just in great condition. I will return again sooner than 3 years, not so much because I love the layout, but given the condition, the price ($27.00 senior) and the friendly staff, it was a very pleasant experience - almost worth the drive.
