I liked this track. Challenging, makes you think about course management. Definetly recommended. Greens are fast, fairways good, staff pleasant.

Played 5/9 for only $70.. The course contacted me because I didn't want to pay the rate of $110!! The customer service is top notch and I believe it was exemplified by them giving me and my buddy that huge discount.. Now on to the course.. Beautiful! Challenging!! Awesome!! For the front 9 we played Desperado, tight fairways, fast greens and fairways that are like plush carpet.. The back we played Diablo, the wind kicked in and was blowing 30-40mph.. Made a difficult course even more mind blowing.. The diablo course was even more tight, more dog legs and some elevation changes.. But just as Desparado, the fairways, greens and tee boxes are just AWESOME!! If your in Vegas this course is a MUST!!

played at 1200 on april 30th for $100....one of the nines was closed(desparado) due to reseeding and course work...course in terrific shape...very lush... greens firm and fast....lots of sand....awesome scenery and 10 million dollars houses all around..although far enough off the golf where if u hit them..u hit a really bad shot!....had lunch in the dining room and was excellent... I wasnt on my game and it ate my lunch....course is awesome and well worth $100.....only complaint would be they need a GPS system on cart.....was hard to find yardage markers......a must play 15 minutes from the strip!

Played Wednesday afternoon to get the local twilight rate, 4/16/08, on a sunny windy day. This target-style course is difficult enough at any time, but really mean in a 20-mph crosswind. Played Diablo/Desperado, probably the two most difficult nines. Overall the course was in great shape – tees, fairways, bunkers good. Diablo greens were perfect – firm and very fast. Desperado greens were totally different – they’d been sanded and were soft and slow. Course was almost deserted and finished in ~3 hours. No cart girl. Yardage book essential for play, no GPS, many sprinklers are marked. Almost every hole has forced carries and hit-and-forget areas, especially on Desperado. Rating would have been higher if Desperado greens had been equivalent to Diablo. Recommended, but be ready to hit it straight.

Badlands was a true target course. Only hit driver a few times, lots of 3 woods. The course was in great shape when I played. The greens are rolling smooth and true. This is a course that I will play again.
This was another course that I booked my tee time through Stand-By Golf Las Vegas. I got a pretty good deal on the greens fees.

I always wanted to play Badlands and finally did.. Like others posted Desperado was target golf bigtime... I can't believe the huge houses around the course, unreal!!! Outlaw was fun and kinda wide open, really enjoyed this course. We got a deal from a friend of a friend for $ 75 bucks. The single who joined us pay $ 150. I really like the bag tag and yardage books they give your for free also...

played monday 7/30 course is not in as good as shape as usual. it seems they are doing a lot of maintenance to get ready for high season in fall. i would stay clear for now but i'm sure it will come back strong this fall. this time one 9 was totally closed while other 18 was being worked on throughout the round. the course has great layout. i will not play again this summer while they get course repair done!!!

Played here 5/7/07 Desparando/Outlaw courses. Don't use your DRIVER on the Desparando course. This course is target golf, Jsst you 3 wood because of how your ball will roll after you hit it. Must be good with your irons or you will lose a lot of balls.
Outlaw, you can use you Driver on a# of holes.
Fairways carry your ball an extra 25-75 yards, depending on how high you hit it. The greens were hard and fast. You must hit short of the green in order for the ball to stay on. Every ball I hit on the green roll off. Playing here again in June. great course.

Played this course on 3/31/07. Had a 1:00 twilight tee time for $135. Played the Desparado/Diablo combination. Course was in great shape except for a little left over sand on Desparado greens - but greens still rolled good. We never saw a group in front of us all day - what a treat that was. It is a tough course with everything outside the small rough ending up in the desert and a 1 stroke penalty. Still fun to play and they are building some huge mansions around the course - some people have some serious cash. Go for it.

Played on July 3rd, Diablo to Outlaw. Diablo is a Miller design that is target golf to the extreme!! Playing thru canyons and washes exquisitley cut and manicured. Multi-Million dollar homes adorn the fairways making it a sight-seeing tour, but don't get caught up as this nine is as tough as they come, tight fairways that if you miss put you down a 20-30ft. cliff. par 3's are 200+ and tight. Outlaw is a ChiChi Rodriguez design that is much tamer, open fairways with rough that will keep you out of the canyons. greens are sanded on this nine, but everything else is perfect. This nine plays thru the Ghetto compared to the Diablo, Probably 500 to a Mill houses. Green fee is $100 for us So. Cal boys, Hooked up w/ some residents last time at Primm, Got the $50 Clark County rate. Best course I have ever played for Fity$$$. Would have gladly payed the Hundy as they gave you a top notch yardage book(helps immensly) a b$tch in' bag tag, monogram tee's and ball markers. Must Play!!!

this is the best classic desert golf course in vegas period! best layout! played 4/25 with one nine closed for maintance pace of play was the only problem very slow. course has wide wide fairways but must hit them or you are out of play. i hear people say it is too hard but i am 16 handicap and have some of my best rounds here! local rates are great value but they tend to soak tourists but i fyou get to play it under 100 as a ourist i say play it . very unique course great facilities a definite go!

Played monday March 27. Course is in good shape. The fairways are decent and the rough is as long as i've ever seen it. So long that trying to hit more than 8 iron or so is a guessing game. The greens are rock hard. I didnt have to fix to many divots because no matter the shot in, the ball would not leave a mark or check up. They are smooth and roll well though just trying to get the ball to stop is a pain. Pace of play was good and overall not to bad a round.

After reading numerous complaints that the course is too difficult and/or too tricked up I was a little hesitant to play here. Those thoughts were the furthest from my mind after the round. This is a solid test and a fun round. Yes, there are some holes where driver is taken out of your hand and you have to hit accurate pinpoint type shots in order to score. I don't mind that. The conditioning was great and the course was very green in comparison to other LV courses during our late February trip. The staff was VERY nice even though they were VERY busy this day. Troon Golf has taken over the Badlands and that is a VERY good thing. If there's one thing Troon does it's take care of their courses and their customers. Things are looking good for The Badlands!

Played the course last April05'. Was kind of expensive but I really enjoyed the layout. Shot 88 and Birdied the long par 4 on the second nine. Dropped a sixty footer for the Bird. Would play it again! People at Badlands were very nice. From the Pro shop....the Starter...and the girl @ the bar. Way to Go Badlands Staff!! Bob Germond III, rgermond@hvrsd.k12.nj.us

Played on a windy Saturday afternoon, July 9th. One of the nines (Desperado) is closed for the next several months – the last fairway will be relocated to make room for four huge residential towers – welcome to the new Vegas. The remaining two nines were in very good condition – although the greens on the two sides were very different, with Diablo being lush and soft (watered), and Outlaw being firm and appearing to be recently sanded. This is a course where you’d better bring a good game, especially on the Diablo nine, where there are a lot of dry wash crossings, especially off the tees. Group in front of us must have been ballmakers, they cranked out so many samples to the netherworld. As a result, pace was slow until number 7, when things stretched out (or they ran out of balls). Recently taken over by Troon Golf, so expect improvements, although no GPS in the future (Troon doesn’t use it), and no yardage book until that other nine opens back up. Sprinkler heads are well-marked, but want to know how far it is to carry that trap off the tee? You’ll have to guess! How deep is the green? Guess again! The summer twilight rate made this worth the $$. Could be a primo course with TLC and amenity upgrades. Adjacent homes were huge! But not intrusive.

Played here about 9 months ago. Interesting lay out, greens where terrible, and as noted in other post conditions don't match some of the other courses in the area, but it is less expensive.

The Badlands are bad. The course is not worth the high price you're paying to play there. If you're looking for variety, it's got that. But the value isn't quite there.
