Played Sunday 5/28. $90 local rate at 12 noon. Worth every penny! Love this course and all of the courses and facilities here. Must play at least one of these three courses if you're in the Vegas area.

Teeboxes were great. Level, plenty of coverage and mowed to perfect height.

Fairways were great. Good cushion, good amount of roll. Never had a bad lie.

Rough was thick and juicy. About 3-5 inches long, but really made you think about executing a good shot. I shouldn't have gone for the green on 18 from the right rough, quickly grabbed my club and I yanked it into the water. I should've definitely laid up to give myself a chance at saving par or worse a bogey. So think about it before trying to muscle one out of this thick stuff.

Traps were fine for the most part, but were a little on the thin side. If you executed a good bunker shot, they seemed to behave ok. But if you hit a little heavy, the hard sand underneath would cause you to skull it from the bounce off the hardpan about an inch deep.

Greens were great. They were cut short and were fast, but they held shots amazingly well. They putted very smooth and they are a blast with ample slopes. They are large and multi-tiered, just great fun to putt.

Wind was howling, 20-30 mph with 40+mph gusts. I think this is normal for afternoons out there. Customer service was perfect. Beverage cart came by a few times and they don't rip you off for beers, 6pack was $25.

First time at this course. It was in great shape. The practice area was on point. One of them was closed, but it didn't seem to matter much. Plenty of room.

The staff was friendly, the pastrami melt is delicious and very large. Split it with someone. lol. The clubhouse was spacious and very comfy seating.

The course was in great shape. The greens staff was watering at numerous locations and the course was well taken care of.

I live on the opposite side of town, but it's worth the drive. Especially if you are looking for something new.

they have 3 courses and from what I understand, we played the medium difficulty course. Snow is supposedly the easiest and Wolf is the most challenging.

Their reputation preceeds them. I can't wait to try the other 2.

Finally getting around to posting my review from last week’s GK Plays Las Vegas. I always say better late than never with posting reviews.

Super time at the outings as you have seen with the outing recap in the forums and if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram.

We started out at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Sun Mountain Course. Same golf course the Korn Ferry Tour played in April. But they did not have the pleasure as we did to play golf on the Hottest Day In Las Vegas History! – LOL.

Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is such an outstanding golf facility with outstanding staff even the extreme heat could not keep us down. Golf course was in fantastic condition, very green and very lush. Greens running medium speed, smooth and mostly firm. Pao Fairways beautiful and manicured. Bermunda/Poa Rough low cut adjacent to the fairways but longer greenside. Challenging around the greens for sure. Sand as expected well groomed, good quality and firm. Tee boxes in excellent well-groomed lush shape.

From an organizer’s perspective the Sun Mountain Course is very tournament friendly with its own driving range and practice facility. The first tee of the Sun Mountain Course, like the Wolf Course, is a good distance from the clubhouse so I found myself doing long cart drives back and forth until I realized it was much better to hang out by the first tee and range. After play the service was excellent and clubhouse fantastic for food/drink/hanging out. Check out the new course photos I posted here for Sun Mountain Course. Such a super time. Really appreciate everyone coming out as well as our prize sponsors Linksoul/Golf Moose and Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort hosting us.

Played here in the GK event on 7/10. Started a couple minutes early paired with mcantos and stickboy. Always fun to play with Vince and great to finally meet Marvin. Good times! Pace was good.

Conditions were excellent! Greens were smooth, medium-fast and sneaky quick if you weren’t careful and accepted full shots well. Fairways and rough were in fantastic shape. Bunkers were great. Yellow tee boxes very nice. You can’t ask for much better conditions on a desert course on the absolute hottest day of the year.

This was my second time playing Sun Mountain. I still maintain that the routing of all three courses blends together a bit out at Paiute, but each course has strong individual holes. It’s just difficult for me to differentiate them or even recognize what hole I’m looking at other than the hole I’m on. Minor knock on an otherwise exceptional facility.

1st round of the Vegas GK Plays on Saturday, 7/10. For a near noon start, course was very busy. Bag drop staff grabbed the bag and had it ready on the cart by the time I walked down. For a resort course, drink prices (both alcohol and non) are great. Paiute has 2 full grass driving ranges with matching putting and chipping greens.

Paiute is always in great shape and Sun was no different. Level tee boxes. Lush fairways (but some soaked areas during the late watering). Rough was a little low around 1 inch or so. Bunkers were really good, especially for the amount of wind they get in there. Greens were incredible. Just smooth and what seemed to be blazin' fast.

Paiute never disappoints. Courses are always in great shape and has a very friendly staff. Always one of the courses I recommend on a Vegas trip.

Played here as part of the GK Event on Saturday July 10th with mpisarski01 and his cousin Mike. This course is PURE, simply put and well worth the green fee. Facility: This course has two driving ranges and multiple chipping areas and two putting greens. Range balls were good quality and plenty of space to hit, both ranges are grass. The restaurant was open for dine-in along with the bar. Food was a little above average, but great selection of beers and cocktails. Locker room was clean and well kept. No water on the course, but at the turn you can pickup free water or refill your water jug. The carts are newer, have charging USB plugs and offer GPS. Course: The tee boxes were all above your average course, very rare for them to not be level or have severe divot damage. Some of the par threes were a little more beaten up, but that is understandable. The fairways were perfect, no complaints here. The rough was fantastic as well, just be sure not to go too far left or right, youll end up in the desert wash. The greens were firm and fast, like most desert courses, but they were true throughout the round and no bumps or dead spots. Pace of play was fantastic, we finished just around 4 hours or before it. I would highly recommend you check this course out!

Got to play this amazing course again this past weekend with the Greenskeeper crew. This is hands down the hottest weather I have ever played in, reaching 118 in the afternoon. With that being said, the course couldn't of been in better shape. I played Wolf Creek the day before and these greens were rolling pure at paiute. The speed was a lot quicker then my previous round and I loved that.

I got to play this round with my two uncles and cousin (Steve,Doug and Logan), we tee'd off from the tips and the course was hard. Long tee shots and long second shots into par 5's but it was worth it. The tee boxes were in great shape, fairways were immaculate and greens rolled true. Every time I come out to Paiute I am never disappointed, will continue to come out to these three great courses when ever I have a chance. Highly recommend coming here, even in the heat.

Joined the GK Crew on a cool 118° day last weekend. When we arrived we skipped the bag drop and walked down to the tournament cart staging area that I had already known was there. I did not encounter any staff until arriving to the tee box where the started just asked what time and said have fun in the heat. Not super personable but no big deal as I had played here many times before.

Course was in really nice shape as it usually is year round. Fairways were almost carpet like and a nice green color. Rough was good and just penal enough to punish you. Greens were fast and firm but rolled very true and we encountered no bumps from the morning flights of golfers. Sand traps were a little firm and could use some more sand it may have just been the traps I was in because my playing partners didn't encounter the same conditions in theirs. The layout I would give a 7/10 there are a few holes that are forgettable then some nice par 3's and 5's to make up for it. I would rank the sun my least favorite of the three courses but its not a bad thing.

We were the first group out for the event and zipped around in just over 3 hours leaving the 2nd group in our dust and never catching anyone in front. After the round we ordered a sampler platter and the waitress seemed like she wasn't having a great day. We asked for split checks and she just gave a big sigh and I guess she also mumbled something under her breath (in a eastern European language). We also asked for plates 2 times and never got them so we ate our sampler patter off napkins! It was a little unfortunate because this is a top notch facility but the second time in a row where the restaurant staff was not up to par. The bartender however is amazing she is super friendly and willing to go above and beyond.

I highly recommend playing here and if you are a NV resident the rate is super affordable.

I had the unique experience of playing golf with the other gkers on a day that was as hot as any day in the recorded history of Las Vegas ... but, it was a dry heat. I had never played the Sun Mountain course and I was really looking forward to the experience. Overall, the course held up VERY well, despite the stifling heat.

The tee boxes, fairways, and rough had pretty consistent coverage, though some spots were soggy due to the amount of water they had to dump on the course to keep it alive. The sand was well-maintained and deep enough to give players a fighting chance.

The greens were amazingly good. They were fast and pretty smooth, except for the one or two spots where golfers had not fixed their ball marks properly. The layout features a variety of interesting and challenging holes. I was able to enjoy the day a lot on a great course with a lot of rugged, fun-loving gkers.
