| Sunday May 22, 2022 1:25 PM The magnanimous thing for him to do would be to just retire. His leg's not gonna get any better. He's lucky to just be alive after what happened. Step aside and let an up and comer take your spot. He's accomplished just about everything in the sport and beyond. He can still contribute plenty, just not as a top flight player. He was able to make the cut in a thrilling performance Satuday but he did it in noticeable pain and suffering. It's really painful to say "Call it a day TW" because he's such a magnetic draw and is the master of comeback stories. But you get to a point......... |

| Monday May 23, 2022 7:21 AM Why does the PGA waste spots in the field for those who have no chance of winning?
For example, a certain player with a nickname of a stripped jungle mammal.
Asking for a friend... |

| Tuesday May 24, 2022 8:37 AM No professional tournament will ever turn down an appearance by Tiger no matter how unlikely it is that he will contend or even make the cut.
Tiger "moves the needle" and as we saw ESPN's first two days of the tournament could not get enough Tiger coverage onscreen even to the point of ignoring or showing shots of current leaders on tape compared to following Tiger's every shot.
Expect to see Tiger at the US Open (by special exemption if he is not currently qualified) and the British Open (as as a past winner he is welcome to play for life).
And I would expect that ultimately Tiger will play on the Senior tour in select events (where he can ride in a cart for his round) which will experience much more attention than usual due to his presence. |
