Looks like I may be coming to the San Jose area in early March. I am looking for any suggestions for the south San Jose area or Gilroy. I am looking to only play one round so I would like a very nice course. Not to worried about price since I am only playing once. Please let me know what you think.

Make the trek to Half Moon Bay its 40 miles from San Jose. I like the ocean course.
Pasatiempo if price is no concern is a #1 destination. - 30 miles from San Jose

third pasatiempo...
it's a difficult course. lots of bunkers. if you can get a caddy, worth a few strokes.
it's my #4 favorite norcal course (pebble, incline village, and spyglass)

Jim, if it’s available as semi-public, you can always try Coyote Creek (Tournament) in Coyote, CA only 20 mins from SJC and a straight shot off the 101, of course if money is no issue, please do play Pasatiempo and do yourself a favor with one of the most amazing golf courses in the US.

Not much to add, only concur:
Pasatiempo
1/2 Moon Bay Ocean
Can't go wrong either way. Get out and Play.

Jim, hit me up if you want to play Spanish Bay or Spyglass Hill
Right now Half Moon Bay is closed but I can also get us on that course (if they open by then) and Coyote Creek tournament at discounts
Also in So San Francisco, TPC Harding Park and Presideo are solid choices.

I second the motion. And while you are in the area, go play Delaveaga as well. That is what those of us who lived in San Jose called "the poor mans Pasatiempo.".

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, looked into Pasatiempo and was very shocked at the price for a weekend. May have to pick up some overtime to afford that place! WOW.
