QUOTED  Hi Nick,
I would love to play in the GK cup again.. Vince also said he would love to play, so could he and I play as a team..
I just signed up as a official GK Golf club member..
Thanks again Nick,
Marvin

This GK Cup is an individual, handicapped match play event. No partners. But would love to have you both individually?

The goal has always been long and straight! But since I can no longer hit them long, hopefully straighter could be achieved more than occasionally?

QUOTED  And the vast majority of the So Cal people who have participated in GK Cups want to play relatively close to home.

It's a So Cal thing Nick not just golf. Cycling was the same way. The year after I won the National Mountain Bike Series which covered 5 states from California to New York, they changed the series to the Unites States Cup which had 5 races in Southern California and one in Northern California. bottom line is So Cal has the numbers which brings in the $$.

But back to the Northern GK Cup. Like Johnny said just trying to find a way to include more folks and generate some GK Buzz. The SoCal / GK Cup 17 will always have the bigger numbers and be able to support 8 rounds. But us little guys are trying to stay competitive with the big box stores so we are looking at 3 rounds. Still working on the details.

I should join the Northern GK Cup to travel up there and steal their cup and bring it south. Think of the Ryder Cup and bring it to home soil!!!!!!

Thems iz fighten words!!! Time to take the gloves off boys.

The good news is I have a new Ryder cup vest that I need to debut….

Plus we have a strategy... make you walk Spyglass in the morning in my match then WALK Spanish bay in the afternoon in Peter's match. of course last time we did that you chipped in for birdie at the end of the round at Spanish Bay to take the TBC so maybe I need a new strategy.

Everybody's a dreamer...
QUOTED  I should join the Northern GK Cup to travel up there and steal their cup and bring it south.

...and everybody's a star... (Celluloid Heroes The Kinks)

I do appreciate your efforts Matt as a traveler and course connoisseur. And eagerness to get the next matches going! Play well.

But com' on MAN!

Hopefully we can drum up some NorCal interest to get things going up here for informal meet/plays and go from there. If the NorCal / Central are similar to our SoCal brethren it gets players of similar passion out together.

QUOTED  Think of the Ryder Cup and bring it to home soil!

Yikes I only know Alex and one other guy right now. But one more stick and we got a four-some ready for some of that. Heck we could beat you on-line on a simulator more times than not. No travel required!
It's just fun.

...And everybody's in show biz, it doesn't matter who you are
And those who are successful
Be always on your guard
Success walks hand in hand with failure

I give up - why is this a TRILOGY?
[Posted By mpisarski01 on 03.29.2021 9:38 AM]

This is the 3rd time we are playing in a GK cup match over the years with each of us winning 1 match.

And one of those was at the artist formerly known as Trilogy and I'm still mad about it.

Or maybe a AZ GK Cup?

Someone would need to run it?

Once again the GK community has stepped up and a few of my GK comrades have volunteered to either visit me here in AZ or simply try for it so I am in
