Hey everyone! I am a student at the University of Texas at Austin trying to make use of recycled plastic and textiles as golf tees and tee pouches. I created a 3 minute survey about the concept and would really appreciate your feedback! Here’s the link:

Survey is legit. Takes only a couple minutes. It's not a marketing scam.

cut and paste it takes you to a survey site.

As far as the product. Attempts to market improved golf tees to help one's game is nothing new.

Are recycled plastic tees more climate sensitive than wooden ones?

I wonder what class this. Marketing?

So as a "tree hugger" that was my question to them was how are the tees for the environment when they are left behind in the ground. I would be more interested in a tee that breaks down and becomes compost.

I don't think they were trying to market "improved performance" with the tees (unless I missed that part) but rather the tees are made from recycled materials. Sort of a "help the planet" type of thing.

Back in the day (late '80's - 90's) I played as an alternate with some dew sweepers (played at dawn every Sunday)

One guy named George Pushee a hearty New Englander retired had a retail antique barn attached to his 1800's home on the Common in town. Well he was the one who got me into reusing the left behind good ones.

In fact George could be considered frugal....
How frugal was he?

....well he would collect the broken ones and save them during the season. Enduring the long cold winter off seasons he would glue them back together in his antique repair shop. The ones he couldn't repair he used as kindling for the pot belly wood stove.

Get out and play this weekend!

QUOTED  Well he was the one who got me into reusing the left behind good ones.

I know there are a few of us in this category. I haven't bought tee's (aside from playing "nice" courses that provide tees) since I started playing 5 1/2 years ago.

That however, it taking it to a whole new level!!
