Pacific Grove---been a long, long while since I played there so this take could be very stale, but I found it pretty lousy. Very crowded, short ass course (tho situated in a beautiful spot) that allows 5 somes. Bayonet/Black Horse FAR superior golfing experience. Play them both.

PG is a short little, mostly boring muni in a beautiful location that apparently mesmerizes a lot of golfers. Personally, I would recommend Laguna Seca, Carmel Valley Ranch, Quail Lodge and Blackhorse and it's sister. CVR and Quail might be a bit pricey depending on the time of year but both are challenging, pristine courses that due to their location, fly right under the radar.

Have fun! And post up your results.
