Up in Napa and drove over (30min.) to play this course. 6:30 t-time and went out early as a walking 4-ball. In the car by 10:15 and we had a great time! The course is in great shape with mid-fast greens, good fairways, sand and rough. It's worth the drive.

First time player at Paradise Valley using a $35.00 coupon. This is a very nice course especially for a muni (I think it is). Grass was great all around from tee box to greens. The fairways are wide and the rough is very playable as is the sand. Plenty of water and interesting layout. Cart girls are on the ball as we saw them 3 times. Pace was awfully slow though especially sluggish on the par 3's. Plenty of length but pars are fair for the most part. Fairways rolled and rolled and rolled and if you weren't hitting em high and soft, the greens were a bit hard to hold. Some of the greens were wide but shallow but for the most part they were plenty big. A fun and gorgeous course if you can get a good deal especially for us city folks who have to drive a long way. Weather was beautiful in Fairfield while it was sunny but cold in SF. Next time we get a bargain rate, we'll make the trek out here for sure unless it's over 100 degrees like it can be in the summer.

Played last Wednesday afternoon, started at 4:30 walked on as a single and finished the round just as it got dark in three hours. Also I was messing around at times hitting more than ball getting some practice in.
The starter Brent was fantastic, the club house was great and there is a great patio in the back overlooking the putting green and course.
Nice practice facility and range.
The course was in really nice condition, very wide fairways, nice green grass all the way through. The greens had been aerated recently but should heal nicely. Some undulations and subtle breaks would take a few rounds to get used to. Wild turkeys and large geese do drop some large obstacles along the way but it was cool seeing them out there.
The rough was not very long but some of the yardages were very long. I played the black tees, but they weren't that much different than the blue markers on most holes. None of the par fives were reachable in two for me, and a few par four holes were long clubs after nice drives.
At $14 rate super twilight to walk it can't be beat. I will be back for sure, I really enjoyed the course and conditions.

On Friday 4 March our twosome showed up for our 12:40 tee time and only 10 days after the greens aeration. All staff was friendly and helpful. A warm up on the expansive practice range was accompanied by a relaxing putting period on the practice green while listening to soothing jazz from the in-ground speakers surrounding the green and clubhouse terrace.
There had been soaking rains early in the week but carts were allowed 90* on fairways as this course drains quite well. All aspects of maintenance was to a high standard. Fairways were quite fast and firm, some thinning in spots, and only very occasional casual water areas. All sand was good. The greens were slow, bumpy and conducive to having been cored only 10 days ago, but soft and holding very well. Wait until end of March for complete healing. It was a busy Friday afternoon, and even though the marshal was working overtime, our pace was 5 hours. Lots of drinks cart passes, water stations,rest areas. Good grill and well stocked pro shop. I can't wait for the weather to get better up here in NorCal.

Monday 11 Oct, 1152 tee time 4 ball following all the other Columbus day fours, resulted in 5 hours of golf. Check in easy and quick with good staff throughout the facility; golfnow 'hot' deal $30 riding. Good presentation and targeted maintenance and watering from tee to green. In some areas, a bit of over watering, resulting in soft turf/casual water. Only a couple of tees were not really level, but all were lush. Fairways dry and running long, fairway rough good and drying a bit, green-side rough lush. Greens soft and holding, not too quick and sometimes a little bumpy (poa). Only in one trap today, but noticed all sand in good shape. Lots of drinks cart passes on a hot day, with lots of water stations and rest facilities. Nice marshalers and the layout interesting enough from any tee. Good prac/fac and good grill. Worth the trip.
