played mountain/canyon 10/15/09. was surprised by how scarred some of the greens are from ball marks - an issue on ~half of the holes.
hadn't played mountain in a while, pretty decent. but am reminded that canyon is a tight 9, with several quirky/short holes. i guess the view off 18 tee makes up for it?
played the earlybird special ($62 with cart on golfnow), can't beat that with a bat. will be back...

played 9/10, lake/canyon. greens are in great shape - actually softer than usual after the punching about a month ago, but rolling true, and no evidence of aeration and pretty fast (for being so soft). in fact, the only issue with the greens are the number of scars from unrepaired (or badly repaired) ballmarks. c'mon people!
always a great track, great views, no residential encroachment, has private club feel, highly recommend.

Definitely my favorite course. I love going out to Cinnabar. Great range, three putting greens, practice chipping and sand shots, and 3 phenomenal top notch 9 holes. Canyon is my favorite 9, but I would not complain about the mountain or lake either. Greens are lightning, but roll 100% true. Fairways, rough and tees are impeccable, there is nothing bad I can say about this course. Don't get greedy and keep your ball in the fairway and you will survive. If you are a high capper bring a lot of balls.

A challenging course in fantastic shape (6/15/09). The greens were aerated 4-6 weeks ago, and they are playing fast and true. A very fair but tough test... Driving areas are inviting, but not too much intermediate rough before you find the weeds/natural rough. Fairly large greens with lots of natural slope. I found the Canyon 9 the least enjoyable due to some ridiculous elevation changes, although it is the most scenic. The other two 9s are fantastic. Overall, a great experience.

the course is in absolutely perfect condition except the greens are way too hard and are very difficult to hit, and when you combine it with the severe contours, are nearly impossible to chip to in many places. However, the fairways are perfect, the greens are smooth and fast, and everything else is immaculate as well. The course gives you stunning views on most holes, and, especially on the Canyon Nine, has beautiful holes throughout. However, it has 3-4 extremely difficult, near impossible holes when windy (2,8 Lake, 3 Mountain, 8 Canyon and makes it a grind to play when combined with other difficult holes. If you can afford it, play it in the morning, as it will be much more enjoyable. The best hole is 9 on Canyon, which is an epic finisher that plays down to the clubhouse

45 Minute drive to get there and well worth the trip. A must if you are serious about playing a great layout.
