Came into town to visit my old golf buddies. Played Brookside #2 today (6:50 t-time), POP 3 hours 40 minutes that a good thing. Also, the company was great, but that is where it ends. The greens where good and the ball holds good. The T boxes were basically closed for over seeding. That was the good and the bad. Now the ugly, the fairways and the rough. The fairways are a mixture of grass, weeds and dirt and the rough is about the same. I guess with football season going on it will only get worse.

Played yesterday (9/19/23) and had a great time. Third off (6:45) and played the whites and should have played the blues but two of the guys I played with played the whites and the third of the foursome played the greens. Course starts on #7 (even the score card starts there) because they say the course plays faster. POP was under 4 hours, and never had to wait on any hold and after about the fourth hole never saw anyone behind us.

The course is in very nice shape, with soft greens and big fairways. Good sand in the bunkers and the rough is consistent. If you stay in the fairways, you will have a great round.

Played an afternoon round. Walked on and got a 2:20 t-time. Course is in nice shape, except the sand traps (ROCKS). I think I liked this course better than the Palmer course. Started behind a 2sum and they let me play through on the second hole and it was smooth sailing after that. was in the car by 5:30. Had a great time with a little wind at the end.

Played April 6 in the wind (13 to 15 mph). This course is flat, flat, flat and could be an easy walk. Not worth $120.00 at all. You can get a stay and play at the hotel/casino at reasonable prices, but $120 is too much. Greens are ok (medium-slow), but consistent. Sand and tee boxes are ok. Play it if you get a deal

Played April 5, the combo (blue/white). Should have just played the whites and had more fun. Nice course, but not sure if it's worth $150.00. If you can find a deal, online go for it. Customer service was fantastic, and they got us out earlier than our 7:40 t-time. Course is visually nice, with lots of elevation changes. Greens were ok with some sand on them and about medium speed. Sand was good quality and easy to get out of. Would play it again, but not for $150.00

Played April 4 in the afternoon (2:20 t-time). Played with 3 young guys and had a great time! The front is much easier than the back. Didn't lose a ball on the front and three on the back (TWO ON NUMBER 10). Four hours and forty minutes is not bad for the afternoon, but we stood around a lot. Greens fast and true (no three puts). Fairways very good, as was the rough. I was in two green side bunkers, and they were easy to get out of (good sand). Would play it again, but from the next forward tees. I played the silvers and that was ok on the front but not on the back.

My first time Playing and this course is Target golf (especially the front)!!!!! You must know where you are going, if not you are in bad shape. The first cut of rough is ok, 1 to 3 inches, but the tall grass that surrounds the course is knee to hip high. If you go in there forget it, you will never find your ball, you may find four or five other balls but not yours..... The back side is more forgiving but not much and by that time you are pretty beat up. We played in about 4 hrs. but could have played much faster but we got stuck behind the senior men's club so on the back it was hit and wait (NOT FUN). This is a course you have to play a few times to know where to go. They give you a rake with your cart and I don't think anyone uses it. The traps are hard and wet. I will go back and see if I can figure this course out.

Love this course and try to play it whenever (11/12/2020) I'm in town to pick some wine. Played with three locals that were lots of fun. Course is in nice shape as it always is.

Up in Napa to pick up some wine and a little golf (30 degrees and snowing at home). First let me say I'm spoiled by the courses I play at home. But when you walk into the club house and they are talking about "they are in a transition with the new owners", you know some thing is up. Fairway are thin and patchy and so is the rough. The t-boxes are ok. The sand, when there is some is mud. Now for the greens, I was first out and right behind the guys verda-cutting and replacing the cups, so they are working on them. So I waited on every whole. And of course they were BUMPY! This is an old school layout that I hope they can bring back, but until then I will not be back.

Play here every time I come to the Big Island. Worth the green fees (much less then down the hill). It's about 1500 feet above sea level. I think it has one of the hardest par 3 on the island (180 yards fronted by water). Love playing this course.

I play this course at least two times when on the Big Island because it is different (2500 ft. above sea level) and I love the layout. It 10 degrees cooler up here and the views are great. I was first out and they were rolling the greens so they were perfect! They are working on the fairways and they need to. This is the worst part about this course. Played 12/10 and 14/2018 and when I come back next year I will play it again.

Played 12/062018. Everyone wants to play this course so it plays a little slower even with an early t-time. The course is in very good shape and the staff could not have been nicer (same staff as the golf). You can go down to the other end of the island (Kapalua) and it can be raining and the wind can be blowing and there is nothing here. Enjoyed the course and Maui, now off the the Big Island.
