Played eagle falls 2x last week, the first on 11/21 and then again on 11/24. The course is coming out of overseed and had no cart restrictions. Fairways & tees are pristine. Greens are smooth with no pitch marks, a bit slow but this is expected out of overseeding. They did not overseed a lot of the grass in between tees and greens and outer rough areas so you will be getting the classic desert winter contrast between fairways and dormant rough. The holes are nicely cut and sprayed white on inside. I agree with the review below, the course plays harder than the card. Always a pleasure to tee it up at eagle falls. Will come back in December!!

Played on 5/22 @ 1pm. Traditional tree lined course, fairways & tees were in decent condition. Sand is rock hard to do COVID maintenance cut backs. Greens were really just terrible. Slow, bumpy, hardly ever held a line. I only played here cause a friend booked tee time. I wont come back on my own.

Played on 1/4/19 at 8:30am. Based on prior reviews from GK outing, it seems course has probably improved slightly since then. Greens were great, rolling about 10.5-11. We had perfect sunny weather, no wind. It was really an incredible day on the course. Overall conditions were near perfect. Sure maybe a few areas in fairways that were not 10/10, but even those areas were solid. Rams Hill sets a high standard so its easy to be nit picky. I took a scratch golfer who hadn't been to Rams Hill yet and he was absolutely blown away. We'll be back!

Played on Saturday November 23rd. Course is coming into peak condition nicely. They still have the fairways and greens a bit shaggy as they heal from overseeding but I would say they are about 2-3 weeks from perfection. Greens rolled about a 10, fairly smooth. Love pga west, top notch facility!

Played on 6/14 at 7:25. They had cut and rolled the greens this morning and they were immaculate. Seriously, absolutely immaculate. You need to be a high ball/spin player to hold these greens but it’s doable. Pitch shots release hard so all of the slopes on the greens need to be accounted for. The reviewer below said it best, the back 9 is phenomenal. With the current conditions of the greens and the price point I would recommend you get out and play it!!

Played the Palmer Private course on the Saturday of MDW. I was told by the folks in the clubhouse that this weekend was probably the most crowded they had been all season! Didn't impact us on the private course as we teed off at 830 AM and played in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Pretty impressive.

I now have played all but the Weiskoff Private course at PGA West. This includes Stadium, Nick Tourney, Nick Private, Norman, Mountain & Dunes. I would say that the Palmer Private probably ranks as #1 of all the bunch. Conditioning was excellent as expected, with Bermuda greens starting to take hold and rolling actually quite fast and smooth (beware of the grain). The front nine routes through some of the homes and is a great mix of risk reward par 3's and 4's with a few beautiful tee shots over water towards the La Quinta mountains. But the real enjoyment starts on the back 9. I would say the back 9 at Palmer is the best 9 hole stretch of all 8 courses out here at PGA west (second best being front 9 at Nick Private). Starting from hole 10, the course routes towards the La Quinta mountains and then holes 14-17 play adjacent to the Canal/Mountain providing some great risk/reward tee shots and approaches. 18 is a phenomenal par 5 back to the clubhouse where David Duval famously made an eagle to secure the PGA win and a 59.

What a fantastic experience teeing it up here. Dont pass it up if you get the invite!

Played on 1/6/18. The course is in PGA condition. The stands are set up and the greens are rolling a glassy smooth 11.8, it had rained hard the morning off our tee time so they likely would have been north of 12 otherwise. Only 2 weeks away from the Desert Classic, this is the time to play out here. Pictures to follow!

Was fortunate enough to get invited to play SLO CC. I’ll keep the review short but this course is by far the best I’ve played in the central coast (SLO County). Terrific classic layout, great bunkering, and very tricky and fast greens. Don’t turn down the chance to play!

Played on 11/18 and the greens were as good as I've ever seen them at Rustic. Talked to head pro after my round and he said they switched up the bent grass seed to a new "hybrid" strain of bent grass this summer and its finally starting to come through. They were rolling the greens out as we were teeing off and man they were perfect.

Played Stadium on Saturday & conditions were excellent. During the summer, I always rate courses in desert relative to other desert courses, not to how they are in the winter or peak season. The conditions from tee to green were great. The greens were firm and rolled true. The grain in the bermuda largely impacts the smoothness and speed. Down grain putts rolled excellent and fairly fast. The fairways were perfect. The only complaint would be the rock hard bunkers. I'de probably avoid many of the desert courses over the next month or so as they close for overseeding. I'll be back in November!

All in all, the stadium course is a solid test of golf and I largely enjoy teeing it up there.

A couple months delayed, but wanted to get a review in for the Red course at Streamsong. Quick recap of the property, the red and blue share a club house & range & the new Black course is about a 7 minute drive from here. The property is outstanding and like I mentioned in my other reviews, could be one of the coolest golf properties I've ever been to.

The red is considered by most as the best course on the property, although that is certainly up for debate. The Opener is fairly difficult long 4 and followed by a great elevated tee shot and extremely gettable par 5. Probably the best opening stretch on the property. The red is meticulously routed around the perimeter of the Blue course & has some great holes and greens complexes. The course conditions were excellent for July and greens rolled solid, although not as good as Black and Blue. Something to note for Summer visitors. They will always be verticutting one of the courses every 2 weeks all summer long. This is to keep them firm and fast even in the summer heat/humidity. When I visited, Red was most recently verticut and had the slowest greens of the 3 but that being said, they still ran medium speed and fairy true, just not pure like the other 2 courses were.

I think this property is overlooked when compared to Bandons/Pinhursts/Sand Valleys of the US. It is every bit as strong as any of the places I just mentioned and is a bucket list destination.

Played Paiute - Wolf on 7/20 while in Vegas for my Brother's Bachelor party. The wolf is a fantastic golf course and worth the drive for sure. Paiute is a world class golf facility with 3 tremendous courses. We took a couple Pauite "newbies" and they were all blown away.

Conditions were 10/10 for mid summer. Greens were actually med/fast speed which is terrific for the 105 degree heat. Fairways were near perfect as well. Not much I can add to what has already been said in previous comments. Visit this course, you wont be let down.

Tip: get an early time or you risk serious afternoon winds. We rolled the dice (no vegas pun intended) on a Noon tee time and we got lucky with only 1 club of wind.
