Played 10/12 during aeration of the greens.
Good pace for a Sunday morning (4.25 hours walking) on a LA City course. Fairways and tee boxes
were in good shape considering the amount of play this course gets. This course is long and forgiving.

Played today 6/29 with a morning tee-time reservation. Course was busy which can be expected for a Sunday morning. Several tee boxes had divot damage and thin spots. Fairways were pretty good with some thin spots. Greens were spongy and slow. Pace was about 5 hours for my foursome. The clubhouse facilities are excellent. Scenic Conejo Valley location, but the noise from the nearby 101 freeway detracts from what would otherwise be a good golfing experience. Some great holes with elevation changes and narrow fairways make tee shot placement important on this course.

Played Harding today (6/22). Course was in excellent shape for the amount of play this track gets. Tee boxes, fairways and greens
were in great shape. A few bare spots on the fairways and rough, but Harding is in excellent shape for a LA City municipal course. Pace of play for a Sunday morning(walking) was 4 hours, 45 minutes.

Played Encino today (6/1) and had a 4.5 hour round (walking) which is not bad for a Sunday. Greens are smooth and soft and the best that I've seen them. Fairways are lush with some divot damage and some thin spots. Tee boxes in fairly good shape. Pace of play was great for a municipal course.

Played on 3/30. Greens were being aerated.
Fairways in great shape for the amount of play this place receives. 4.5 hour round which is not bad for a Sunday morning.

Great course with elevation changes and tight fairways. The back 9 is "target golf".
The 5th and 13th are quite tough and most
mid and high handicappers would have difficulty scoring par or better unless a great tee shot and approach shot was apparent. Quite a challenge from the blue tees and one must be accurate on all shots to play this course well. Fairways, greens and tee boxes were in immaculate shape when I played today. Great staff. The clubhouse and facilities are still under construction, sao bring your own beverages and refreshments.

A really nice course with some elevation changes, elevated tees and greens. Greens
& tee boxes are in good shape. Pace can be slow on the weekend. Recommend playing
during the week for maximum enjoyment.
Great, courteous staff and a real country club feel.

This course is a short, "regulation" course at just about 5000 yards. Water, elevated tees
and a few forced carries make for an interesting, municipal golf experience. The staff is wonderful and courteous here. I took some golf lessons here in the early '90's
when I worked in close by Pasadena and I also used the practice facilities quite often.
They have a 3-tiered lit driving range with mats and individual stalls. It is open from sunrise until approximately 10:00 PM ! They have practice greens and practice bunkers also.

A nice course with some interesting holes. Elevation changes, elevated tees & greens, water and doglegs enhance the golf experience. Slow pace, however. 4 3/4 hours for a weekend round with 4 players.
The course was in fairly good condition when I played. The tee boxes were a little beat up. But, the greens and fairways were in nice shape overall.

A fairly tight course with elevated tees and greens. A baranca runs down the middle of a lot of the fairways. If you don't hit your tee shots accurately, your golf balls disappear
into the baranca. I've played this course 3 times in the past and have never had a nice scoring round here for whatever reason. Worth a try, but there are nicer courses available.

An interesting municipal course with elevation changes, elevated tees and greens.
In fairly good condition when I played and the pace was great (4 hours for a foursome)
for a weekend morning. Fairly open, so you can't get into too much trouble here. The golf shop (John Wells) is excellent.

Shorter than Brookside Course # 1, but still a nice course to play. A relatively flat layout with heavily bunkered fairways and greens.
A storm channel runs along the side of some of the holes. Some beautiful holes on the back 9 (#11, # 12) make this course worthwhile. Easier to get a reservation to play than course # 1. Fairly forgiving and not extremely difficult (slope at 115) of a course.
