This is not a country club but definately worth the Sr. fee's of $25.00 during the week. Challenging greens with some severe slope on a few. A number of the greens appear to be getting over some sort of fungus or desease. Numerous circle marks.Lots of elevation changes from tee to green on several holes. Narrow fairways with unfriendly slopes if you put it in the wrong place. Bunkers recently redone and have very good quality sand. I tried a few.
Short course but bring your "A" short game or your buddies will be foo fooing you on your score on such a short course.
Great place to practice Driver control, and short game.
I will return.

This was a real fun course a few years ago. Havn't played here for about 15 years (pre American Golf) and was pretty disappointed.

About the best I can offer is that it is a place to hit the ball. Even at the senior rate of $40.00 with a cart, it is overpriced.

Try Dad Miller, either of the Costa Mesa courses, Anaheim Hills, or San Juan Hills.
All are FAAAAAARRRRRR superior to this place.

The Hills is always a test of your game. I think it is very underrated at 69.6/117 from the blues. Tee's, fairways, and greens in very nice shape. You have to play a couple of times to get the lay of the land. position is very important on several holes. Several greens have some severe slope and thear fast. If your above the hole, USE Caution.

New club house opens next week and I hope that they re-number the holes back to the original layout.

For a senior, golf with cart including GPS at $28.50 is really hard to beat.

RALAMPGO - If you think this is the best deal in town, try Anaheim hills.
Course is in excellent condition, however it is a little tricky until you have been around it a couple of times. Greens are always near perfect. Fast and true rolling.
Sr. Rate with cart and GPS $28.50 all day long M-F
Brand new clubhouse will open next week.

Oak Creek is a nice and fun course, but again WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced.

Gotta give American golf credit for one thing.

They have a nack for totally screwing up every course they manage. This one, Diamond Bar, Rancho S.J. Brookside, and the list goes on. What a shame.

I played here on 12/1. No fly's. Only mild cattle dairy perfume.
By no means perfect, but for $25.00 Monday fee, it is hard to beat.
Nice layout, very playable distances and good short are rewarded.
What else can you ask

A great example of over priced golf in most of Orange County. The developers seem to think there is no end in site to inflation in golf. BAD NEWS FOLKS. There is a peak and I think the light at the end of the tunnel is a train coming your way.

To bad they let this fun layout get away.
I last played here when it was called Western Ave., the good old days and it was a great little course.
Maybe they should change the name back and clean it up a tad.

I'm a 15 hdcp and shot a 75 (my best since returning to golf in Jan)
Am I happy? Oh yeah

Played 6/30/03. What a disappointment. If the green fees were $5.00 I may come back.
But then again I may not.
The greens have to rate near the top for the all time worst in the state. Very bumpy, slow and major bare spots.
The layout in nice and this could be a great track but no without some MAJOR repairs and maintenance. Lost balls in the leaf litter is pretty common here as well as the other GR course.
Just a all around waste of my day.

Played on June 17 and it was a great day for golf. Course in nice shape, short but chanllenging greens, and the fee for Costa Mesa Srs. is only $10. Wish I were one.
Even at $20 on week days, it's a lot of bang for the buck.

I played this course for the 1st time today. I just returned to golf in Jan. this year and am currently a 18 hdcp golfer. The course is in very nice condition with nice fairways, and tee's. The greens are med. fast, some with severe slope but there fair. Weekday senior rates of $60 are not bad considering the area but there are a few Riverside courses just as good or better for a lot less money.
I will play it again. I shot 86 from the whites and for me it was a satisfiying round.
