Played Tuesday morning. I had a pretty nice deal to play, but I feel BAD for anyone that pays over $50 to play this track. it is one of the worst conditioned courses I have played in the last year. Front 9 definitely in better shape than the back nine. Bunkers were hit or miss as far as nice sand. Greens were average, some bumpy routes to the holes here and there.

Played Saturday 9/26 with the wife. First time playing here and WOW, what a course. The course is definitely in my top 5 as far as best courses go that I have played. Not sure I cared for all the non-golfers just meandering all over the place. Tough track, I played the blues and perhaps I should have played the whites. Everything course-wise was top notch...from tee to green.

First time out to this course. Read the last review on it by Sixpez and decided to give it a whirl. Pretty decent little track....

* Staff - one of the friendliest groups I have encountered since picking up golf.
* Fairways - pretty good, overwatered in my opinion in the morning round, but much better later on
* Rough - thick and fluffy and the balls just settle down it, so it can be somewhat punishing.
* Bunkers - thin, but playable, some weeds
* Greens - small, slow in morning with all the watering, but a little quicker in afternoon. the green on #5 was probably the worst.
*Tee boxes - mostly okay, there are a few that are just sad....I almost wish they wouldn't even put a tee box in the pure dirt like they had.

I noticed one outhouse on the course and that was it....so plan accordingly.
Carts had enough juice to easily handle 2 rounds...that was nice....no GPS or anything, your basic cart.

$12 replay - now THAT I enjoyed!!!!
First round I played with a fellow GKer I got paired with . His name is Neal, nice guy, made the round all that much much more enjoyable.

Played 36 holes Tuesday with GK'r rstang06, perfect weather...

POP - wasnt too bad, we got stuck behind a slow 4some on the first round but they let us play through and then we zipped to the finish line quickly. 2nd round we were stuck all 18 holes behind a hacking 4some playing the blues...

Conditions - I will just say this....if the course had premium bunkers it would be in the golf digest top 200. Definitely one of my favorite courses to play (when I can get a good deal).

Greens - tricky and at times really challenging, but rolled true and minimal unfixed marks.

Fairways - I have no complaints here, some minor patching, but otherwise great lies and easy to hit from

Rough - a little high for my skill, but no complaints.

Carts - GPS and Cooler, and you have water stations as well as a halfway house for additional snacks and drinks.

highly recommend playing here if you haven't, and if you have, it is time to get back to the Rock.

Booked the Tuesday 11am super deal on course website for $25 with cart. What a great deal that is for this course. They sent me on my way about 10:40 all by myself and I breezed through the round easily in about 2:45 POP.

Course is in pretty decent conditions...Fairways were mostly green and lush and only a handful of noticeable brown-out areas. Cant tell you much about the bunkers as I didn't hit a single one all day. Greens were very nice, rolled well and to me were medium-fast. Downhillers had some speed to them. Rough was a mixed bag, patchy and inconsistent, I found that a little stressful with some shots out of there as I really wasn't sure how the ball would react.

I enjoyed myself very much today, perhaps that was due to the most perfect POP Ever and I was able to get in a nice rhythm and keep it for all 18 holes. 2 different groups let me play through and that was very nice of them.

enjoyed the snack shacks they have and I look forward to getting back out here in a couple of weeks and try my luck on the South course.

**not sure how this came out a 6.5, in my mind I would comfortably give this a solid 7 to 7.3**

Played Tuesday morning with fellow Gker Rstang06. first time for either of us playing this course. we played the blues both rounds.

1. Practice area: pretty good, a little odd to have hardly any grass to hit off of when at the range at 7:30am.

2. Practice Green - absolutely the best green on the course. take that for what you will.

3. Staff - friendly and polite

4. Course layout - this is no resort course, it is pretty tight and challenging with water in play a few holes and a boat load of bunkers

5. Conditions - sad to state, but I was so looking forward to playing this track, but frankly this course was in the worst conditions of ALL the Palm Springs area courses I have played. the fairways reminded me of Victoria links. Bunkers will filled with shells and small rocks, greens were bumpy, some disease ridden.

6. Critters - first time ever seeing BigHorn sheep and maybe they are to partially blame for all the bare spots on the course, they seem to enjoy eating it.

all in all, this was probably a one and done visit for me. $60 for unlimited was a good deal, but in its current condition I wouldn't want to pay anymore than $50 to play this track.

Played Friday July 3rd - 9:20am. first time playing this course.

1. POP was pretty bad, about 5.5 hours. I think this was due to being the holiday weekend, being a challenging course and cart path only on about 1/3 of the holes.

2. Course Layout - I liked it, I found it required a variety of shots, put some thought into what you really needed to do and visually interesting.

3. Tee boxes, mostly lush and level - no issues
4. Fairways, mostly lush, some browned out spots here and there but very playable.
5. Greens - fast and challenging to read. definitely need to say below the hole.

6 Services - decent, definitely a lack of restrooms on the course, no water stations, but the carts have 2 coolers for beverages. GPS on Cart a plus.

had a good deal of $50 to play and it was definitely worth it. Wouldn't pay the rack rate though.

Played Saturday 6/27 with other wonderful GK'ers.

Course was not in as good of condition as it was when I played last year.

The best part of the course was the bunkers, they were some of the best condition bunkers I have played in.

Greens - looked pretty bad and had some interesting wiggles in the rolls....I kept hearing comments comparing them to the look of Chambers Bay, but 1 or 2 had some serious disease going on.

Fairways were okay, mostly lush but some obvious brown-out areas.

Rough was minimal

POP was longer than I expected considering the temps.....

Carts have cooler and good GPS, Cart service did come by a few time during the round, but with Water Stations on the even holes you are pretty covered.

Played Tuesday using unlimited voucher and got in 36 holes. Haven't played this course in 2.5 years, and was very glad I made the drive down south to give it a go. they have certainly invested some money in the course and the infrastructure.

Tee boxes - lush and level. Top notch
Fairways - pretty good, some thin spots but mostly decent
Bunkers - mixed bag, some fluffy, some just a thin layer of fluffy sand with clay underneath.
Greens - medium speed, mostly smooth, odd breaks near the hole often...1 putts were hard to come by today.

Staff was friendly, Cart service came around a few times. Starter very friendly and offered up tips.

I had a great time Tuesday. Tee'd off around 6:50am, finished the round and had a beer in the club house and then went out and had a nice 2nd round.

Played the Mission/Presido combo as part of the GK event. First time playing here and I will give you my impressions.

* I think this is a nice little muni track for locals.
* Most amazingly fluffy sand I have ever played out of..honestly it might have been TOO fluffy!
* Fairways were "okay" at best....pretty patchy and could use some attention.
* Greens were very good, probably the best feature on the course hole to hole.
* Layout is okay...one signature hole I thought. #2 on Mission (our 2nd 9) was a very nice looking hole and my slight fade fit it perfectly.
*GPS was good, though surprised when all of a sudden we had music coming out of it for a moment with about 3-4 holes left to play.

If I were in the area I would definitely give it a look...would love to play all 27 in a single shot.

GK Events are a blast and this one was no exception.

thanks to RiverWalk and GK for getting us out there.

Played Sunday about 1pm for a awesome rate of $30 w/cart. this is such a "make you feel a little better about your golf game" type of course. I like having the chance to scramble when I am not hitting my driver perfect. Most courses I play that is simply a lost ball, but here I have a shot. Decent track for what it is....Greens were really nice, minimal ball marks (suprising).....bunkers were not great...fairways are thin and quite a lot of bad/marked off areas...

lot of regulars come here so most folks know each other and it is cool if you get in with another 2some that knows their way around and they just tell you were to hit it and you do your best to comply.

no GPS, but course is marked pretty good. Cart gal came around often so her and the wife become fast friends.

Played Saturday June 6th with the wife. We played our morning round using our $87 twosome underpar deal. I really like this course. Good friendly staff. Nice practice area and a well conditioned course. Yes you do have to get used to the tight Bermuda fairways that a are a bit tricky (at least to me) when hitting shorter approach shots. Finished up the round and still had a ton of gas in the tank so we paid for a replay at $45 each and glad we did....Wife finally broke 90 on this course, so money well spent.
