Played with dad Wednesday 10:10 in leisurely 4 hrs while visiting parents. Elevation allowed a little more distance though shots needed to be planned to avoid risks, mainly trees or sloped terrain. Couldn't have been any greener and there were a few wet areas in various locations including one green we both plugged. Greens medium speed recovering from recent verticut but rolled smooth maybe took away some of the undulation influence. Rough mostly an inch longer than carpet fairways but sticky. Tees all smooth & flat with par 3's clean lots of area for rotating boxes there. Very fun course with great views at distance or near within forest and hilly terrain. Not sure if another course has this kind of scenery throughout all 18. Uncrowded during round but we did hear a few tree knocks! Would love to play again for another try at missed opportunities on early holes before working out of the intimidation factor which never bothered dad. Clubhouse, putting green, smaller grass range, food and after round lounge nice with friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this course.

Local 9 hole many walk with tree lined fairways. Played with dad quickly on very green mixed grasses. Tees okay greens shaggy to protect from heat but held shots. Clubhouse and on course maintenance workers friendly. Ninth hole too long of a par 4 for me! Course was fine as a warmup even though range has mats.

Took 89 year old father out on olive tees early to beat the heat Wednesday. Everyone friendly, conditions very nice with only light breeze and unrushed 3&1/2 hour round. Greens smooth just a bit slower than anticipated but no complaints. $35 at 8:00 start a steal for water bottles, immaculate conditioning, new gps cart and excellent warmup facilities. Dad enjoyed the round shooting one under his age! One of the best courses in the northerly state highly recommend.

Friday noon following member tourney which was nearly finished when I teed off single with wife driving cart. Practice facilities all grass range, new balls, chip area with two bunkers and large putting had green same medium fast & quick downhill as course. Everything very nice playing with shorter rough just long enough to hold wayward shots from side slopes but easy recovery. Afternoon wind goes with territory but fairly gentle this day unless straight into. Some target golf or ball may end up with a difficult side hill lie. Several holes looked tight but landing areas ample. Clubhouse, food, local members and bartender great after 3 hour round including a few for fun drives from highest elevated tees. Definately recommend playing here.

Played as single late Tuesday morning under perfect conditions using GK voucher. Found clubhouse, starter, cart service & maintenance staff all very nice and friendly. Did get quite warm but had plenty of water and leisurely 3:35 round. With the long ride out took time using premium facilities including driving range, chipping area and practice green.

Played Friday at lunchtime both 9/12 & 19/08. Our threesome got right out and played easy pace with no waiting or pushing from behind. Back nine longer thus tougher than front. Greens somewhat fast and tricky. Very nice condition for close in executive course. The higher price goes along with location and convenience. Large grass range.

Played Butterfield 9/21 & 23/08 in the AM. Sunday crowd way down because of Ryder Cup? Round only lasted 3hrs 50 mins. Course in good shape while getting ready for overseeding. Really liked the lake area and cart path improvements at the 8-9 holes.

Chino Creek is a nice course! A few areas outside fairways a bit thin but overall conditions are fine. Played well after seeing shots stop around greens where they hit, no run ons. Used an extra club length to get on. Played in 4 hours on Sunday AM 9/14/08.

Took visiting dad and uncle for a treat on 9/16/08 in AM. Course played great from whites with ample landing areas and not overly fast greens. Longest holes were nice with elevated tees and downhill. Website gave good tips. Appreciated delivery of wet towels when temps began to rise. Will play again.
