Played on 10/26/14. I just made up a new phrase. It is what it is. The good is that the greens and tee boxes are good. Bunkers are good too. Also, it is very walkable which is good and the pace of play was just under 4 hours on a Sunday late morning.

The bad is that yes you will smell the sewer plant on some holes when the wind is blowing from the west. The rough around the greens is different on each hole and even on some parts of around each green. Fairways are bare and lush in some places even on the same hole.

Oh well, I play it every few months and it could be worse. It is what it is.

Beautiful course. Hard from the green tees and easy from the whites. 6500 v. 5900 yards. They need a combo tee. Greens are super fast and hard to read. If you are in the area it is a must play. Good stop on the way to Bend. Small problem was that some of the bunkers were super wet but other than that it is a good course in a nice quiet location.

Haven't played this course in at least 20 years. Forgot what I missed. Classic style course.
Greens very fast. If you hit it straight it is easy but if you go into the trees then good luck.

Great location and great weather. Some slow play issues but the slow group let people play through.

Figure on $55 for the green fee and cart unless you get a discount on Golf Now or some other website, hopefully, Greenskeeper.Org. $5 for range balls doesn't make sense to me.

Interesting course. The 18 of the 27 holes that we played were designed by Hale Irwin.

Lots of blind shots. Great views. Green speed was very slow.

The only problem was there were a lot of areas without grass. Fairways were OK but around the greens and in the rough there were a lot of dead spots.

If you are in the area then try it out. However, not the best conditioned course in the area.

Played on 7/2/14. Former home of the Texas Open. For this time of the year course was in good condition. Greens were a little fuzzy and burnt. Customer service outstanding. Pace of play was good.

If you are in the area it is a definite must play. There is another course next door designed by Palmer and the locals we played with said it was good too.

This course was used for the Texas Open for about 15 years until 2009 when they moved to the TPC course.

Great layout. Great customer service. Only semi bad thing was the green condition. A little slow and bumpy. Reminded me of Palm Springs area courses this time of year.

Right next to Six Flags.

Nice course and I would play it again.

Played on 12/14/13. Course was in very good shape. Fun course to play. Wasn't that crowded. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas the desert courses aren't quite as busy as the rest of the season so it is great time to play.

Played last Sunday. Not very busy for a.m. tee time. Old course but in good condition. Area around course isn't that great but a fun course to play.

Nice course. Greens were in good condition. Good condition. Pace of play good. Hilly. Need to play twice to figure out the elevation changes etc. Would play it again.

Played on Sunday 6/23. Course is OK. Not that busy but still slow. Took 4 hours to play 16 hours.

Most amazing thing happened on the 12th tee. While we were waiting I found a metal box on the bench. Thought maybe somebody left it with tees and balls. Opened it up and found a crack pipe and a green leafy substance. Threw it in the trash. Hopefully, it wasn't some golfer's stuff.

Nice old style Trent Jones course. Easy bogey hard par. Bunkers seemed to find more of my shots than usual. A bit expensive but it is Sedona.

Nice course. Forced carries make some holes gimmicky. Other than that the course was fun to play. Good condition but not great.
