Played in the GK outing as well. Ditto all who reviewed before me with regard to conditions, carts and tee selections. Exceptionally run event, thanks to Johnny and GK volunteers for making this a great day. The course itself was a great challenge, loved the layout and being a first timer, i can see how this place would grow on you given the chance to play multiple times. No two holes the same and a variety of challenges. You get the feeling that the course does not fit any particular player and makes everyone feel uncomfortable at some point during the round. I say that as a compliment to the layout.

Played twilight Sunday afternoon a few days after they punched 1/2 the greens. They were rolling slow but consistent and will be fantastic soon. Not going to say much about the greens other than to say i will look to come back in month or so when healed as it will only add further enjoyment to a great facility. First time playing here and i really enjoyed the layout, no 2 holes look the same and the layout was fun all the way through. One thing that stood out for me was the rushing creek with waterfalls and rock features that meanders in and out throughout the round adding hazard and great visuals. Lots of elevation changes and some forced carries. Overall great experience,

Had the opportunity to Valencia Country Club. We had a pretty big group out there for a 9am shotgun with the course pretty much all to ourselves. What a treat!!! Great course in all aspects, layout, condition, facilities and challenge. No two holes the same with features to challenge every aspect of your game. I've heard its often ranked one of the best in the state and from my experience, its hard to argue.

Played 3/24 first twilight. Course is in great condition tee to green. Staff and all facilities are excellent in every way. Wish i lived closer due to the grass range and multiple practice greens and bunkers. The layout is fun and challenging with many blind shots, forced carries and doglegs. All you could ask for in variety.

Pace was good at 4 1/2 to 5 hours. The pace should have been 4 1/2 max, I single handedly set the pace of play back by 20 minutes due to trouble on the 3rd hole after taking a 7 in a 2 man team scramble and the other team in our group took a 6. We caught the group in front of us within 2 holes and stayed behind them or within a shot for the remainder of the day. The marshall was cool and understanding with us but the backup was felt behind us for the rest of day. All in ALL great experience and cant wait to go back.

Played 1/27 with LAGG group. I agree with all the previous reviews regarding course condition. Outstanding for this time of year and a pleasure to play on as compared to the dry dormant conditions typically found elsewhere.

What stood out for me regarding the layout is the many fallout areas on the greens, you have to hit the right part of the green to stay on as balls tend to collect so that you are chipping back up on the green. Great feature of this course.

Pace of play on a Sunday was great at 4 hrs, with very little waiting.

The customer service for our large group was fantastic and it was appreciated. Everyone that i came in contact with was helpful and accommodating. Great facility from the staff to practice areas and a fun challenging course. Wish i lived closer but will be back as its well worth the 1+ plus drive.

Had the pleasure of playing here a few times in the past couple months due to some limited public access. Cant really speak to the staff as the course virtually closed with the exception of minimal staff available to run a small weekday shotgun start event. The staff i came in contact with were pleasant, helpful and professional. You definitely get the feel they know what they are doing.

The course itself is a fun layout with tight fairways, some elevation changes and well placed hazards. The greens are well protected and mostly require you to fly the ball all the way to the green due to greenside bunkering and false fronts. The course also plays much longer than the yardage suggest due to many uphill holes. Water comes into play on a couple holes but more times than not the water on the course is eye candy. The true test here are the greens, they putt fantastic but are diabolical with severe undulations as well as subtle breaks due to the valley. Everything falls towards the valley even when its not visually apparent.

The condition on this day was just OK (compared to last month) but still better than most any public course in the area. With frost recent frost, im guessing they are unable to water and the course is currently dormant, dry and playing fast. Tee boxes are level and lush and as good as you would expect. The greens are fast, smooth and fantastic to putt on.

Overall a hidden gem and outstanding in every aspect. Nice to get a feel for country club golf and I will back as often as possible.

Played Sun 11/18 at twilight. Course in great overall shape tee to green, no complaints to be found. The greens were fast and smooth but really difficult to put on with lots of break and severally undulating contours. This course to me is all about putting. The staff, practice facilities and all aspects surrounding your golf experience are top notch. The pace was fantastic at just over 4 hours for a weekend twilight round. Planning my next trip back already but first need to practice with the short stick.

Played Thursday 11/8 twilight. As others have stated before me, this layout is fantastic in what it offers in challenge and diversity. The conditions are absolutely outstanding right now from tee to green. The fairways are a pleasure to hit from and the greens are smooth and really fast. It was a rainy day when i played and the greens were still wickedly fast. The sign at the first tee said 11.5, figured the dampness had to slow them down but that was not the case.

Played Saturday 11/3 in a LAGG League event with 19 golfers. The course was very accommodating to our group. The staff here is outstanding in all aspects and know how to make golfers happy. This course is a no frills pure golf experience with great practice facilities, a well maintained challenging course and a great attitude. Pace of play was fantastic with 5 groups in a tourney in the middle of the day on a Saturday, we finished in about 4 hours. The course in great shape with lush fairways, smooth greens and level tee boxes. Love the layout with some easy opening holes that builds in difficulty as the round progresses. No two holes are the same and the challenges are varied with undulated greens, forced caries and well placed hazards.

Played the front 9 of the Valley course with Kviser and Fear on 10/27. The course is coming back from recent maintenance and is looking great. The fairways are absolutely the best i have played on all year. Lush, Green and Consistent. They have been cart path only since over seeding. As much as it is a pain for the golfer, i would support cart path only FOREVER if they could maintain the current fairway condition.

I wanted to add Kviser comment on outstanding customer service. The pace of play was horrible due to a couple of idiots playing from the tips and not having the skills to be there. We called the clubhouse on the 9th tee to complain. As we were approaching the 9th green someone was waiting for us and said they talked to the group in front and without hesitation offered to switch us to the back 9 of mountain that was wide open. The attitude was the customer is always right and what can we do to make you guys happy. With the lack of true customer service becoming the norm in our society, it so refreshing to know that RR is here, this is just the most recent example. I will continue to play here even though i loose a ton of golf balls when i play as nothing comes close to the welcoming feeling you get at RR.

Played Sunday 10/7 on Creekside/Canyon Crest. played at 1pm finished in a little over 4 hours. Got a great rate from golfnow at $50 per player prepaid special. I have played here several times and i always enjoy the layout. Its challenging but fair and not overdone as some difficult courses can be. If you hit a good shot you will be rewarded. Conditions were outstanding tee to green. Only complaint was the greens were soft and spongy, felt like everyone that steeped on the greens all day left spike marks. Surprisingly they rolled true and medium to fast.

Played Sunday 9/23 just before twilight. We had 4 groups out with LA Golf Group and the course was very accommodating to us. Super fast round on a Sunday probably due to Football, we finished in close to 4 hours all groups. Fantastic course conditions right now, fairways are super lush with great lies, tee boxes are level and perfect to hit from. Greens are nice smooth with very few pitch marks. Got a little bumpy in the afternoon but overall good. The layout is the outstanding with amazing vistas and interesting holes. A true gem, cant wait to go back.
