Awesome conditions out here in Pomona/Fairplex today. 9:20 the starter moved the 4 sum to the tees. Beautiful tee boxes thru 18, fairways lush no excuse golf. Greens receiving well and rolling just right. Pin and slope tricky now and then. Sand generally gettable but did see some very wet/firm. Rough not a issue today. Decent carts no GPS, love the full length cart paths and welcomed the bathrooms on #6 and #15/#16 area. You will find a small driving range on matts with good targets, yellow balls only. Great bar resturant, fairly large pro shop well stocked with all the goods. 88 degrees by 2pm today. Gonna get warmer so get out now and challenge the Meadows!

The "View" is shaping up folks! Hit a small bucket tested the practice green and let 'em fly at 8:03. Greens soft a bit slow, fairways lush mostly, helping slow that pesky river rol-out issue we all know about, tee boxes somewhat improving. Tree trimming and general grounds detail is evident, especially the old Eucalptus overhanging snag on the over the water hole #9! Never actually hit it but almost everyone I played with wished it was gone. Since I play here atleast once a month I have noticed small improvements with respect to clean-up and serious trimming. Not long before rates bump accordingly I suppose. Gotta ask, does anyone else play here, never see any reviews. 5 hrs to complete today Thursday. Fore!

Formerly Jack Kramers racket club,open since 1925. Starter had my group off on time (10:17) for a trip around the South course. 6 par 5's in total first 2 holes on the front are 5's! 6700 yds from the mens is a very good test for a 15 like me. Bombers will enjoy the length and generous width of these beautiful fairways, beware of landing area slope. Enjoyed the full length cart paths ( most in need of replacement ), nice modern GPS systems, not so fun geo-fencing. Mixed bag of sand trap textures of which I tested 5. Greens are receiving very nicely, rolling a bit slow compared to rounds at Indian, Butterfield, Jurupa of late. POP was aggravating (4:45) for a Tuesday morning, likly players challenging the south instead of the north course. You will enjoy the modern club house and restroom facilities, decent warmup on matt driving range and multiple practice putting surfaces. See ya out there.

El Prado, Butterfield Stage 6-16-26 is playing probably the best all around conditions you will ever find here in my opinion. Fairways 5 star across all 18, soft fluffy lies when you pull-up and you know your gonna stripe it! Greens are small on the "Butter" a bit quick but to be fair not overly punishing on the slope. Bunkers.....suck. either way to wet or hardpan w/a sprinkle of coarse sand on top. Always busy here and really wish they would station a starter near the tees. Some how a single got between our 4 and a group ahead and totally messed the pace all day! we kindly asked him 3 times to groupup or skip thru to join others way ahead,WTF? On rass driving range is always prefered, good beverage service can be found, and the 19thhole is a welcome sight to wind down. I recommend a El Prado test now before the real heat sets in. Fore!

5/19/26 10:48 start. Tuesday mornings appear to be reserved for ladies club event, driving range closed until sometime after we got off. Two separate practice greens and a nearby chipping/trap area will be found here. I found the course to be in very good condition, greens likely punched a few weeks ago, but actually rolling well. Sand in good playable condition. All Tee boxes level and lush. Good carts and nice cart paths, no GPS, no beverage service today. Found 2 restrooms along the track. Nice to witness players " Waving Up " on the par 3's! Really helped POP. Finished in 4:35 min. Will continue to Diamond Bar in the loop. 4ore!

5-13-26 10:30 start, 4h:45 round. Busy as I've seen it here, range near full (on grass today!), players on both putting greens, starter calling out groups every 10. First impression looking down over 1 looked wonderful. Fairways in nice shape, tees mostly the same. Greens healthy but noticeably still healing from punching. Rumor is Wednesday morning is a skins group thing, seems to effect POP . Handy bathroom at 4/16/17 area, beverage cart out and about2 and saw a Marshall on occasion. Long hitters might not reach for a fairway wood as Jurupa has only 2 par 5's and under 6k yards @ mens tees. Slipped in the sand a few times but still stayed on the dance floor, sand being thin and hard under! Fun narrow track mostly, mature tree lines, slope is always a shot factor. Small well outfitted Proshop, oldschool snack bar/resturant and a nice seperate lounge/bar on premises. Gonn'a keepthis one in my rotation.

5/6/26 10:15 am Joined a 2 sum and a single w/ride along. Starter Dale keeping everything businesslike and on time. Course overlook is spectacular and course played as such! Fairways always giving up nice lies...Greens near perfect health. Very sloppy and quick. 4 three putts sometimes inside 10'! Ugh! Love this course setup, really need to take advantage of the senior midweek deal more often. Cart paths full length on every hole, No GPS, well positioned bathroom at 3/17, nice level t-boxes. Treelined (mature), some water on back 9, sand in very playable condition. POP slower than usual, wondered why Marshall wasn't a bit more aggressive. Highly recommend testing yourself here.

4/28/26 Tuesday morning 10:32am. 2nd round here in the last 6 months. My decision to play here was influenced by a $31 offer for a single on the website! POP 4:30, we were the only 4 sum I could see ahead or behind, letting a single and 2 different pairs go thru, not much player pressure on Tuesday I guess. If you haven't been here before you will be impressed by the view from the Pro shop area looking out at the 1st&10th tee/fairways! Every staff member you encounter is seemingly glad you have chosen to spend your money and time here. You will find a small chipping green and very, very small putting green very convenient. Covered driving range, matts, basically a dirt range with flag targets. Best to drive the cart over there. Hilly ,slope type arrangement with small beautifully maintained greens. Short yardage course fits with the green sizes I'm guessing. Sand traps? I couldn't find any. Near the greens many bunkers now grass. If you are a long hitter off the tee beware! Many par 4's have small drainage seeps/creeks right around where the ball should run out! Frustrating indeed, I'll play smarter next time. Typical muni fairway conditions beeing lush to thin, tee boxes better than average, rough challenging tree lines mature not forgiving. Carts no GPS good yardage markers though. I like this place as she is tight and forces you to be strategic. Cresta Verde is certianly in the course rotation for me.

This was my 2nd round playing here. Really enjoy the mountain atmosphere, huge trees parallel to most fairways ,slight breeze drifting up from the valley below ,slope on every hole to force position golf. Good drives are rewarded here, but the greens will frustrate. Greens fast so be below hole or a birdie becomes a bogie. Can't believe I fixed only 1 ball mark as surfaces are firm! Rough 2-4". Traps ok, wet but gettable. Teeboxes in excellent condition. No GPS, good fairway markers. Driving range available, putting and chipping area convenient to proshop and restaurant. POP on Tuesday morning 4:25. $45! I'm getting out here more often. Great staff and special thanx to maintenance for course grooming care.

3/12/26 9:24 am pegs in. Picked up a game with 3 young Firemen this time, really a fun fast paced time. Course looking the best in the 5 rounds I've played here over 2 years. 91 degrees in March is unusual but hey, who's complaining! Be informed, no driving range here. To be fair they do have a net area. Putting green to far away. Everything else was great, Fairways, traps, greens. Longer hitters will love it here, 18 commonly plays 645yds from the tips with water cover at around 240. "Dos "will be in my rotation this year.

Finally got to play here. If you are a single this can be a issue at popular links. Got a 4sum together to play Sunday 3/8/26, $80.00 ea. No GPS no club rental, walk to driving range only. Other than these issues we enjoyed the layout, challenge and condition of course. Happily, numerous marshals on patrol keeping POP very good, done in 4:30 for a weekend! Looking forward to another round soon.

1-29-26 10:45. First this course is NOT private. Update please, as this course is a blast. I skipped this place for years reading private. First impression looking from the parking lot not exciting. Pleasant surprise once in the pro shop looking down at the course! From the bar resturante you can view 3 tees and another 3 greens with ease. Very comfortable outdoor covered patio for drinks and food service. The greens keepers have this course in very nice country club like condition. Fairways nearly always serving up tasty lies, rough is treelined with the leaves forcing me to abandon 2 balls and just drop. Creeks running all through the property will force shot play. Greens in excellent condition. Extremely very fast running with almost unfair slope. The dance floors robbed me of (4) normally gettable pars! Very nice Yamaha carts no GPS. This course has some holes that play blind so a GPS cart tracking system would'nt hurt here. Wide concrete cart paths in decent condition. Tees in acceptable condition, thin in areas most level. Very fun, challenging, and beautiful 18. Old guy mid week rate is a bargin. Small short yardage range near first Tee. Thanks to all staff for their professionalism, especially the starter Mauro. Think I'm returning next week again to try and better my number. Highly recommend Canyon Crest!
