Played 1/25/25 8:30 am $165. Course was in over all fantastic shape. Emerald green fairways against the dormant tan rough. Fairways green with full overseeded coverage. Cut a little tight and not overly full, but played great. Ball sat well with good roll out. Greens were in fantastic shape. Well struck shots would sit. They ran true at a medium quick pace. Down hillers could easily get away from you. They were a treat to play on. Was not in any traps, but they looked to be in good shape. Most Tees were in good shape. Some had enough divot damage to make you look for a spot. Saw the cart girl twice. There was about a 30 min. frost delay, but they caught back up quicky and our tee time was only about 10 min. late. The more I play this course the more I enjoy the layout. I wouldn't call it a resort course because it is fairly narrow, but there is not a lot of trouble unless you are severely errant. I find it to be a very FUN course to play. I would not call it "Lush" but in fantastic shape and a treat to play.

Played 4/13/24 8:50 POP 4 hrs. $126. Third time playing this course and I really enjoy it. It's visually narrow and in some places is narrow. It's the fairways that are cut fairly narrow and can even look more so when the rough is dormant. On this round everything was starting to green up. Rough was a light green in most places and seldom caused any issues. Some areas still dormant & brown. Fairways were in great shape. Emerald green with great coverage. Not as lush as many of the other courses and cut a little tighter, but they offered great roll out and played really nice. Greens were in great shape. Well struck balls would check up, but there was not a mark to be found or made on them. They ran true at a medium slow pace. It took us a few holes to determine that you needed to take out about 50% of what ever break you thought there was. Was not in any traps, but most looked fair, some could use a little TLC. Tee box's all good. Did not see any cart service out. A great addition to any weekend golf outing. Easy recommend.

Mission Hills North has gone thru some ownership changes and I"m glad they didn't close down this course. The customer service was excellent in the pro shop. However, the starter could be a bit more friendly.

It's hard to rate this course after playing Classic Club. Classic club has an enormous budget and charge a much higher green fee. However, Mission North still hold ups. The layout is interesting and requires a lot of thought off the tee. It's not a typical driver and wedge course.

Greens were in excellent shape. The tee boxes and fairways could use a little TLC. If this course was in LA or OC, you would not be able to get a tee time. If youre in the area, it's worth checking out.

Made our annual trek out to Palm Desert to play golf as a 8 some (2 groups) on Friday 1/26 and SAT 1/27.

Course 2 of 2 was Mission Hills North - Gary Player Course. This was our 1st time trying out this course. Clubhouse was well stocked and the staff was very patient and welcoming. Make sure to download their app for $5 off and 10% off items in the proshop. Shoutout to Adam, the head pro for making our group feel especially welcomed. The course was busy and the staff was very attentive. Cart guys came out to our cars to pick us up and helped clean our clubs and help us after the round. The snack shop was well stocked with well priced food. I wish they would of opened later as our group would of loved to give them the business after we finished at 2:15 pm. POP was 4 hours and 20 minutes.

The course conditions contrasted nicely from Classic Club the day before. Overseeded rye and the dormant bermuda made the holes look super tight. Lots of humps and bumps and native grass created intrigue with the course layout. Get ready to test out your short game around the greens. Very good mix of unique par 3s and some diabolic par 5's. Greens were running around 10 and the overseeded fairways were immaculate. If there was one weak spot, it was some sand traps we were in that lacked some sand. Native grass and hazards aplenty everywhere. Need to drive the ball well here to score. Also, lots of water hazards all over so keep an eye on your balls. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely put it on the list to return soon! Please do put this on your list to try on your next Palm Desert outing.

Played 1-14-24. 1:30 pm pop 4 hrs. Finished round with 40 min of light left. Second time playing this course and really enjoyed it. Fairly narrow Fairways off the tee. Especially with the dormant Bermuda grass rough against the dark green overseeded Fairways. Makes them feel smaller. Fairways in very good to great shape. Firm with lots of roll. Cut tight with not a lot of cushion, but played and look great.
Greens a little on the firm side and rolled really well at a medium fast pace. Rough is dormant and caused no issues. Tees and traps in good shape. Fun layout and good mix of hole design. Easy recommend.

Played last week 3 times, why because it is where a 16 handicap can break 80 from the silver (6,000) tees. But note if you take your wife she may have you on this one, mine did. Course in typical summer shape, some brown in fairway but still most lies are good. Greens were real good with the exception of the ones that have been sand whipped to much, we counted 4 not up to par. Sand traps fairly firm, but good sand coverage. Excellent warm up area and driving range included in green fees. Price, as all courses, up a little from last summer we paid $59 on the weekdays. Always find the Gary Player in good shape and on the easy side with 4 short par 3's to help the score.

Teed off this morning at 8:30 and paired with2 young guys (30 years old) who live by but have never played here before. They teed off from the golds and I decided to join them with my reasoning was that I could always move up one tee. From the gold tees it is a little over 6600 yards so a big jump in yardage for me. The course is in mostly good shape for being the summer, fairways are wide and really good shape not so much rough here except if you go left on some holes trees and junk would make it tough to find a ball. I did notice an unusual amount of water on the front side covering cart paths in bunkers which led me to believe it had rained there recently but I don’t think so must have been a maintenance problem. Hole 3 I think is the par 3 and there is a bunch of sand covering the cart path as you approach the green, so much so my playing partners got stuck. We got them out but it was very odd. Anyways there a few greens that are not doing so well but that is to be expected in the summer. The speed is also an issue it is a little slower now, why I don’t know but maybe they haven’t been cut recently but the ones not affected look nice but still roll on the slower side. The greens hold shots really well enough to make divots they just don’t release very much. Wasn’t in the sand but the ones that didn’t have water looked to be ok. The back nine I explained to them ( hackers) that I was moving up a tee and they said they would just stay back even though they couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. The guys were more concerned about fishing on some the lakes than playing golf.. Silver lining was the cost was only 32.00 and given the layout and it is a real bargain. With all the shenanigans it only took 4 hours and li looked like we all had a great time.. For the money it’s a great deal if you’re in the desert..

Played the first of four courses here February 14th. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in very good condition. The greens ran true and for the most part would hold a shot. Fairways were generally very good as were the tee boxes little divot damage and level throughout. POP was 4 hours on a 10 am tee time. Service was good check in NP, and the range was open (complimentary) and a pretty good practice area, with chipping area and practice bunker. Bunkers were a mixed bag some were in ok condition, others were in poor condition. The downside was the rest of the course, although mostly the esthetics of the "off fairway" areas. There were a number of trees/branches that were not cleaned/cleared up, some of the trees had been blown down or damaged for some time and hadn't been removed. Similarly the rough area wasn't tidy so to speak, lots of debris laying around. The course is a good track, everything is in front of you, with no hidden hazards. Our rate was $122. Good course and I'd play it again.

Played Mission Hills North with a friend of mine Steve who has a home on the 12th hole. We teed off as a twosome at 10:00 and saw no one in front of us. Course right now in excellent shape with tee boxes looking nice and green and divots filled in. Fairways were firm and us 2 old guys got lots of roll from the firm but beautiful fairways. Greens were firm but held shots well. We played the front 9 in 75 minutes plus hitting a few extra shots as well. On the back Steve said hi to a few of his neighbors and we stopped just to get a drink and still no one behind us. The only time it’s like this is maybe in the summer after 12 noon. Anyways course in great shape and the staff is always great especially Mike the starter. Highly recommended if in the area
