Played 12/30 - Course is in great shape from tee to green. Their gearing up for the Buick so the ruff is very thick, play it safe. They removed the blue tee and moved the whites up to somewhere between where the whites would be and the reds. My guess is to save the tee boxes for the Buick. FYI their closing the course on the 1/17 until after the Buick so get out while you can it is great.

Due to the upcoming PGA event, white tees have been moved up to the red tee tee-boxes on some holes.

Went to get a first look at the course I will play in the Toshiba Pro Am. Marines will be there this year!! Beautiful views on the North. Tee boxes on some were not level and they had the tee markers in some re-seeded areas. Fairways were lush, yet firm and VERY narrow. Rough was wicked!! That's good as the rough should be a penalty, but could slow play down looking for your ball. Bunkers were firm and not much sand. Greens were a little bumpy from people not fixing ball marks, but fair. For $29 local res rate, this was a steal. Can't wait to play it in tourney set up in January!!

Played Thursday. The greens were soft and slow. The rough was thick and deep in many areas. They might not have been able to cut the greens due to overnight showers. If the greens had their usual pace the course would be in super condition. The rough makes this course play to its rating. You really have to keep your eye on your ball out there. We spent a few minutes looking in a 5 sq yard area 4 of us before we found it, and then almost lost it again when we walked back to our clubs, just regular rough a few yards off the fairway. You learn to put your hat down if you have to take your eyes off it. Losing you ball again after finding it ranks pretty high up there in lousy things that happen while golfing. It is EZ to fall behind quickly so mark your ball location closely.

With the resident card, this is the best value of golf I've ever experienced. I prefered playing here over Spyglass, in Pebble Beach, which cost me more than 10x what I paid for here.
