Played on Friday, 11/25 (really sorry about the delay!), on a windy, chilly morning. Played in about 4 hours, paid $70 as a PACC member guest. Typical Paiute conditions. Nice, level, almost divot free tee boxes. Carpet like fairways with complete tee to green coverage. Rough was about 1-2", just enough to cause a problem. Bunkers were decent, a bit firm. Greens were phenomenal. Smooth, firm, and probably as fast as they could be without the wind blowing the ball off. Downhill was crazy scary, just incredible. Service was great as always. Always surprises me when I get there to find the bar/grill empty but for one or two souls. Easy check in. Wolf Range was the only one open, but plenty of room for everyone. Drink cart around at least twice per 9, plus the snack shack at the turn. Only complaint, started on 10, which brought the great finishing holes in early. Just weird, never seen the back 9 start at Paiute before. Snow is my favorite between it and Sun, Wolf is a different animal. Love the finishing holes and looking back from the clubhouse.

Played 1-17-18 on a GN deal for $40 teeing off around noon as a foursome and finishing in a little over 4 hours. Tee boxes were in real good shape, lush and level with minimal divot damage on three pars. Fairways were in great shape, very lush and green with descent roll out and nice lies. Rough was about 1-2 inches and easy to hit from. Was not in any bunkers but they looked to be well groomed and in good shape. Greens were rolling fairly smooth and holding shots nicely, but a little inconsistent in speed from green to green. Overall the course was in very nice condition and costumer service was very professional and nice.

April 30, 2017, we were there that Sunday and were joined by to gents from Sacramento who played pretty well themselves without delay- they were enjoyable.

The greens healed from the recent aeration- it looks good but the balls wobble around more than a few times from all our putts. At times, chips and pitches would take sharp turns surprisingly left or right on its first bounce on green surface. We weren't sure or we couldn't tell if we were hitting ball marks, but everything looks perfectly smooth. After a few times with this going on, it became comical and we just had to laugh. I have never experienced this sort of thing on any of these three courses at Paiute. One of the guys were real funny and quick with a joke blaming the golfer. (LOL). Other than that, everything else was just fine good and playable.

There was no one in front of us and no one behind us until the last three holes, a twosome caught up with us.

Pro shop services were good. At the bar, devour tender was all alone and huge giant restaurant/bar. So we moved up at the bar- she was thankful, and served the beers well. :)

Had to make a trip to Vegas for work, and threw my clubs in the trunk, just in case.

What can I say about The Paiute that hasn't already been said.
I play the Snow. I was really surprised to see that the slope from the gold tees (6,600+) is only 118! While the fairways are pretty wide, there is a lot of challenge with the desert, water holes, and oh ya...the wind, haha.

Anyways, tee boxes were lush, flat and perfect.
Fairways are as good as ever.
The rough is there, but not too penalizing.
The sand in the bunkers is soft, consistent, and decent to play from.
The greens are awesome. They hold shots, have good roll when chipping from the rough, and putt so true.

I just can't say enough great things about this place. I love all three courses (although The Wolf beats me up). I would rate this a perfect 10. Not a single thing could have been better.
Service was great, food was great, the starter was really nice, and POP was right at 4 hours.

Greens were very firm, and rolled perfectly at medium-fast speed, with speed increasing somewhat as the sun and wind dried them further – you couldn’t really make a ballmark, and I think I repaired 2 or 3 old ballmarks during the round. Green speeds were consistent throughout the round, which was great, and getting the speed correct on these greens is the key to managing your round and score. Most of the greens are slightly crowned, and many are elevated above the fairways and surrounds, exposing them more to the wind and challenging players to hold greens and control their putts.

We had good lies in all the fairways; most of the old divots had been filled, either by players or staff. Rough was generally cut low and very playable, but further offline you are in the desert and lies are very chancy. Sand was deep and soft around the greens; balls could easily create their own depression, making recovery more difficult. Tee boxes were all level, even par-3 tees were in good condition.

We saw the cart girl several times and enough water was available, as well as having a snack shack at the turn.

Played with the GK group on 11/13. This is a gorgeous course surrounded by miles of beautiful scenic desert with not a house in site. The conditions are almost perfect! Minor complaint was a few of the forward tees weren't overly level but compared to many courses they were superb! The grass on the greens almost looked like artificial turf it was so tight and smooth. Greens rolled fast and true. Fairways were a pleasure to hit off of- beautiful beautiful beautiful! Enough water on this course to keep you thinking. Just a pleasure all the way through. Staff is wonderful and refreshment carts were frequent. We totally enjoy playing here and can't wait to return. Extra bonus? The covey of quail, single roadrunner, and two little chipmunks that decided to visit us on the back nine- all at once!

Good morning my GK'ers golfers. Continuing with my Vegas Golf Trip with GK members. After playing the Primm Valley Desert and TPC Golf Course. I thought that I had seen it all. But on Sunday morning after arriving to Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort and see the Golf Course they have out in the desert, I was speechless, the views and the beauty of each Golf Course was fantastic.

I was in the first group. After arriving to the first hole and seeing everything that was around me, I was just memorized with the wonderful golf course they have.

The tees were in excellent shape, fairways greener that Primm Valley and TPC. There were no houses or trees in the way. I was playing in the middle of the dessert on very green fairways. The rough was tall but easy to hit from. The sand traps just perfect. They had enough sand and easy to get out from. The greens were faster then the TPC greens, hard to read and very interesting breaks. I had a great time and we didn't wait in any hole. Just perfect!!! The Paiute customer services was amazing, very happy to have us there and very friendly. I graded this Golf Course 9.5.

By far this was my favorite Golf Course and I'm looking forward to playing it again. Thank you GK for the invite and putting this event together.

My GK golfers if you have not played this Golf Course you have to add it to your bucket list and get up there and have a great round of golf. Hit the ball and let it roll!!!

Our second round of our GK Plays Las Vegas could not a have dialed up a more picture perfect day. At first there was a cool wind but by the time we teed off the wind had subsided and temps rose quickly. With a crystal-clear sunny day, Las Vegas Paiute got to show off its spectacular visual experience. Add to that immaculate playing conditions, just blew me away.

Greens rolled true, moderately fast and firm. Fairways perfect. Rough perfect about 1 to 3 inches high. Bunkers perfect. Tee Boxes perfect. With the deep green turf and contrasting desert landscape with no homes to obstruct distant beautiful views…can you tell I dig this place. Add to that a grand clubhouse with delicious food in the restaurant, enormous proshop, and views of the course…I swear this is not a commercial for Paiute.

As far as the outing, from the moment I arrived their staff was there to accommodate. Everything went smoothly. They even surprised me by giving us a Las Vegas Paiute poker chip ball marker to each player. I had a nice buffet breakfast to start my day overlooking the 18th hole of the Snow Mountain Course then off to the golf cart staging area and excellent practice facilities to greet more GK’ers. After our round the clubhouse served us well with food, drink and plenty of space to give out prizes.

Next year I’m going to try to arrange the Wolf Course for GK Plays Las Vegas 2017. We got to keep coming back here.

Another beautiful day to play golf. The scenery was amazing and at times hard to remember you were there to play golf not take pictures! The people at the course were friendly and very helpful. The greens ran true and fairways lush! We had lunch after our round in the club house and it was excellent. Highly recommend the course.
