In the picture, I'm the only one wearing a beanie and shorts. I've been playing golf for 5 or 6 years (I can't remember). My practices originally consisted of 80% driving range, 15% short game & 5% putting. Now that I'm comfortable and confident hitting my irons and woods in the general area of my targets, I have drastically changed my practice to 65% short game, 25% putting and 10% driving range and it has definitely paid off. Since changing my practice regimen, I have seen an improvement in my game. I never kept a handicap mainly because I played just to play and beat my friends (if I could). Just recently, I started keeping one and I'm a 17. I've had no professional golf lessons. My dad taught me this game when I first started. Everything I learned from him, I applied and modified to fit my game. My lowest round was an 83. I have friends that have played longer than me and I can happily say that I'm giving them a run for their money. Establishing a handicap has changed the way I play. I'm into "course management" versus "grip it and rip it". And I love it.
