Unless the course is hilly or has too much distance from green to tee (like some courses in housing developments), I prefer to walk, but I often ride, too. I don't know if I am a serious or casual golfer. I golf to have fun, but I do find it fun to follow the rules. I don't try to force the rules on anyone else--I don't care if someone else takes a mulligan, plays winter rules, has a foot wedge, etc. (unless we are in tournament ). I am not a speed golfer, but I despise really slow play. I think there should be a "who cares" choice for smoking.
