I play mostly during the week, early morning or late afternoons, usually at Sweetwater CC in Sugar Land. Also enjoy some of the better public courses around town, preferably 6700-7000yds, but layout and conditions are more important than total yardage.
Although I'm serious about my golf, I never let my performance ruin my day. I care if my playing partners are having a good time or not... and if they're not, it affects my ability to enjoy myself as well. My long game is serviceable, but my short game stinks. I play once or twice per week, but from mid May through late Sept, I'm on hiatus -- too dang hot in Houston.
