I have been playing for 52 years and been a single didgit golfer for most of my life. I have made one hole in one and it was quite a feat on May 9th 2000. I was playing Summitt Point in the Bay area and we were on the 13th hole 143 yards and my Customer said "Billy what are you going to hit, I said you know todays a good day for a hole in one and hit a 9-iron. We watched the ball go into the hole 1,2,3 bounces and roles 40ft and drops, I jump off the ground and say yeh and then heard a pop and that was my Plantaris Tendon being torn in my left leg. Called my wife and told I had good news and bad news. Went to the Hospital and they put in in a cast for 8 weeks. I have palyed in the Oakland City Championships, because I love Lake ChabotGolf Course. Im also a Certfied Tournament Chairmen/Secretary Treasure for one of the oldest Associate Clubs in NCGA. Our club is the Hi Holers Golf club and we were formed in 1957. We average 20-24 golfers per outing. My DAD Carl Oliveira was the founder and he passed away in 1982 and I have been running this club ever since. What a Thankless job, But very rewarding being around so many personable people.
