I am 52 years old. I started playing golf in 1993 in So. Cal. I used to play 3 times a week as a bachelor and even shot 1 under on the back nine at my club tourney(highlight of my life). Moved up to Eureka, Ca. twelve years ago after finding highlight of my life #1a, my wife. Spent about 4 years away from the game until I got re-bit by the golf bug. I've never experienced weather as wet and cold. My first year up here I witnessed ducks swimming across the first fairway. Reason for brief hiatus. That and four kids 10 and under. I really missed the heat and sunshine although a couple times a year I get away to warmer and drier climates. I'm glad to have found this website as it gives me the info I need to plan my vacations.
In 2012 we moved to Grants Pass, Or. Discovered it on a golf trip planned around info researched on this website. Southern Oregon is a golf lovers best kept secret. No six hour rounds ever. No waiting for hours to play as a single. I've found that the further away from SoCal I get the better the golf experience.
