I'm new to golf (<2 years). Picked it up in when I moved to Maui. The first time I went to a driving range, I recall thinking, NO WAY is it this difficult to hit the freakin' ball!! It was SOOO frustrating. Luckily, I challenged myself to learn the game and improve. It helped that my neighbors and co-workers were serious golfers.

Played here with a relative and two friends on 5/17. Teed off @ 12:45, about 10 mins behind our scheduled tee time, as the two groups of four front of us were walking. First time playing this course, but I was really impressed. Open course with an occasional water hazard, but very forgiving for a player working through a slice or hook in their swing. The fairways and greens were well maintained and in great shape. The greens were fast on the front 9, but considerably slower on the back side. The tee boxes could use a little TLC on the PAR 3s and few PAR 4s, but they weren't atrocious. All in all, it was a great course and the weather was great all day. I'd definitely play here again.» Close

I teed up around 11am on 5/11/20 (single) and played a full round in under 2.5 hours (with cart). Not too many players in front of me, but each group I encountered allowed me to play through. The club did a great job of posting info on their website and informing players of the changes they made to ensure the health and safety of its customers due to COVID-19 which I really appreciated.
Fairways and greens were well maintained and greens were firm. Sand looked very good/plush but, due to COVID-19, there were no rakes and I didn’t hit out of the bunkers. Tee boxes were in pristine condition. It’s a challenging course due to the heavy rough on the shoulders of the fairways, crisscrossing ravines, and strong wind gusts out of the NW (particularly on the front 9). Back 9 is more technical with tighter fairways, but it’s just as gorgeous. This is an awesome course and I highly recommend it.» Close
