More about Darrell Fields
Born in So-Cal. Learned the game at 8 from my dad. The Lazy "B" Golf Ranch in Orange Park Acres was the place of my entry into the addiction that is now been my career for the last 20 years. A few years in the bay area at Palo Alto and Sunnyvale Muni's and back to the O.C. finished my golf enthusiasum by the age of 14. Capo Beach was now home and surfing and girls were my new thing. A life without golf for 10 years came to an end when my then retired dad tracked me down and handed me some used Wilson Staff tour blades. Two things happened. Those sticks when hit on the sweet spot almost replaced sex and I now found myself calling my dad for golf games . San Clemente muni was now my spot. Started a family and began to balance work, surf, golf and raising kids. By 1991 I felt the need to change the scenery I was raising my family in. 4th of July 92 we escaped from behind the "Orange" curtain and landed on the central coast of Oregon. The rest is history. Rees Jones had just designed a links track in the dunes where I was . Having been in turf maintenance on sports fields most of my career the transition to golf was swift. Now I wish I had started in the golf biz earlier, its very challenging and rewarding.
So my GK friends stayed addicted to this great game , play as often as you can and bring more golf junkies to the course, we need you !
