My most played course can be moist in the winter and very firm in the summer. The shoulder seasons are uncrowded and enough variety of the 36 holes offered to get most of the clubs in my bag out. Greens are a mix of older push up native soil or deep sand based. The speed is not the fastest in the area but are very true and consistent. Bunkers are a bit rugged at times but hazards they are.
The practice areas are varied. A nice grass tee for in season practice and a covered mat area for the rest of the time. A short game target green area with sand traps is a great place to spend a lunch sharpening skills. Three other practice greens and a new chipping green are also used for a great variety of breaks and slopes.
The pro shop and restaurant / event facility are friendly areas to spend time before and after your game or practice. The food has stepped up over years past and the variety of offerings from the menu and the bar are a notch beyond the basic.
