I got interested in golf when I was 10 years old in my grandparent’s backyard and with a trusty Wilson 7 iron. I planted a plastic cup into the far corner of the yard and learned to smack wiffle golf balls at it to where I could almost make one a day in the cup from about 20 yards. My first trip onto a course was at age 11 with my uncle who is a Pro-Am golfer. He pretty much taught me everything I know about the game and how to make the best of it.

I come from a long line of history in California. Second great grandson of William Lyle Hunter (Col. Mosby’s Right Hand Man) and one of the first 15 original Army Rangers and one of the Immortal 600. Great grandson of Bev Hunter of Olancha, California where Hunter Mountain was named after him. He rode with Wild Bill and his 101 Rodeo Show.

That pretty much sums it up. I look forward to meeting people here at Greenskeep.Org and perhaps play a few rounds with the members of this hidden jewel website I stumbled upon.
