I am a 3-Time Cancer Survivor over the past 21 years. Through my love for golf, I have beaten these battles and live today playing to a 13 handicap at El Caballero CC. I host my Spencer Shiffman Annual Golf Tournament benefiting City of Hope Pediatric Cancer Research in May at El Cab. In 4 tournaments and 1 dinner benefit, I have raised over $650K for continued childhood cancer research. My success story battling cancer and playing golf has inspired many celebrities to support my cause. I played high school golf against PGA Tour Pro Duffy Waldorf, and Duffy supports my annual event as my "Honorary Chairman". July 7, 2006 is my "5 year" mark from my last life-threatening surgery that the odds of surviving the surgery was less than 5%! I play usually 1-2 times a week. Golf is a major influence in why I'm alive today! So my motto is this: "The worst day golfing, beats the best day working"!!
