Started golf as a kid, made a club from a tree root. Just published a book with that story in it. Played in High school, college, and in some leagues, tournaments, best ball tourneys, and a Pro-Am in Wisconsin when I lived there (that's in the book too) Just last week I took a 2 on a par 4 from 150 yards out.
