"Played this course on Saturday, May 24th. Overall, this course was in good condition and fun to play. The rough was not so deep to make it too hard to find miss-hit balls. The pace of play was reasonably fast, and we never had to deal with long backups behind any of the holes. The staff was friendly and courteous. The refreshment cart showed up twice during our round, and there were also convenient water coolers.
My only real gripes with the course are the bunkers and outside distractions. Like many SoCal courses, the bunkers are filled with a really course, gritty sand. I only had to play out of a greenside bunker once during this round, but I don't like the damage that gravelly sand can inflict on soft steel wedges. In addition, the bunkers still retained water from recent rains. Another annoyance was the presence of loud off-road bikers near the back nine who were zooming up and down the wash that borders some of the holes."
