November - Vegas is your best bet. They overseed earlier than Palm Springs and Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tuscon. Golf courses are in great shape. Plus the weather is good. I'll be getting some rounds in there for sure this month. Going to make my way down to San Diego as well.

Liking how my game is bouncing back. Might put together some special rounds.

Got Laughlin Ranch up in mid-Nov, and possibly a free morning in Vegas a day or two after. Hate the loss of Daylight Saving Time!

Started November off very interesteing. Joined KVISER and SR129 at Olivas Links this morning. I had never played there before and was super excited to play. I started off 1 under through 4 and finished 3 over. On the back nine I continued the bogey train for a few holes to shoot 44. While I was happy with a 83. I can only think back to the fact I had 4 OB shots and only 30 putts. I hit 10 of 14 fairways but only 5 GIR.

I hope to keep playing the way I did today and try to take 4 drops out of my game. Should be an interesting month!

I already have a round booked in Vegas on Friday 11/23. Looking to play Cascata on either Saturday or Sunday 11/24-11/25). After throwing in my October stats which included 8 birdies total I've started November off with a bang 4 birdies in two rounds (3 yesterday, 1 today). But not a singe up and down to save par yet. So much for 6 per round.

My November 3, at Mojave Resort GC in Laughlin round for the very first time was pretty windy 30 miles an hour all day made it tough. The greens were also super slow so that maybe a good thing, but it made it tough on that part as well. At the end of the day, a 42/40 for an 82 on their white tees isn't anything to brag about, but I have to say that I wasn't complaining and were actually pleasantly surprised.

================================================

My November 4, at Laughlin Ranch GC rounds for the very first time was another windy day- you guessed it, 30 miles an hour wind again up to the last three holes. Yes, something about the greens again... it was still recovering from their aeration a month ago or so- speed was good, but wobbly and bumpy. I recorded a 44/39, 83 on the Silver tees.

Lately, I am really enjoying the shorter tees :-)

Bizarre golf weekend for me … but worst part is losing my 6i so now I have to go find a replacement!

But yeah, played Glen Ivy on Friday and was completely dead in the water on the front nine with a 49, but came back strong with two birdies on the back nine to shoot 39 (including my longest ever drive of 342 yards on 18 - which, if you know 18, is completely a joke!) and finish with a good 88 considering it was my first time ever playing there.

Played in a tournament at Los Serranos on Saturday so nothing of note to report there, other than the fact that best-ball scrambles kind of stink. I want to play real golf and hit my own shots!

Then on Sunday played Lakewood and also had two birdies (chipped it in on 4 and hit a great 8i onto hole 7) on the front nine this time, shooting a decent 43, but then had a four-putt on 10 and two penalties on 12 to finish the back nine with a 47 and shoot 90 for the round. Just missed the birdie putt on 18 to make it five sub-90 rounds in a row … ouch.

Noel, those look like great golf scores to me. I'd love to shoot and 82 and 83 on consecutive days!

I recently had a great round of my own at Olivas Links last Friday. Great company with fellow GKers, mpisarski01 and sr129.

I shot an 81 from the white tees and finished with birdies on holes 17 and 18!

That's a first for me and probably my third best score ever.

I'm looking forward to Monday; it's a holiday and we have an annual event. This year it's going to be at the Sand Canyon Country Club. It's a scramble, 6-hole blind draw Peoria system format. It should be a lot of fun. I'll report back with course conditions after. Look for my review.

Kevin, glad to hear you had a great time... well deserved.

Olivas is a great track to score 81 on- congrats!!

I've always wondered about the status on Sand Canyon. ...and I'll be looking forward to your review. Enjoy your day!

Played at Muroc GC (Edwards AFB) Saturday. Got there at 27*, when they let us off it was mid 30s.
I had my old power cart. On the 3rd hole, the battery crapped out so I called for a cart. After the switch in mid fairway, I was pretty much distracted to say the least so 44 front! At back I bogeyed 13th, 14th and 17th, but eagled the par 5, 15th and birdied 18th, par the rest for a 36. Not feeling bad anymore about the round, but, the battery issue is annoying to deal with- I'm on the phone with the company now... it's a new battery.
