Okay, Keith/sixpez is not eligible to participate in this thread, if only because he's going to make the rest of us feel so jealous. But now that I think about it, buck up and use him as inspiration to play more golf!

I just found out that an upcoming December work trip in the Tampa area means that we will be playing at the Copperhead and Island courses at Innisbrook - I can't be more excited. The Copperhead course is where they play the PGA Valspar Championship so it's going to be an awesome test.

It also got me thinking that it will be my 8th state to play golf in since I started playing four years ago: California, Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota and Georgia. Hitting a driving range in Nebraska doesn't count, does it?

So how many and which states have you played golf in so far? Keith, commence laughing at us ...

I've played in 5 - California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Indiana (that course was not much more than a piece of old farm land, but it was fun looking for balls in the corn fields bordering 3 sides). I don't know what state is next or when, but I hope it's soon.

You can't keep me away from this discussion!

Actually, there are plenty of nomads on GK. I'm pretty sure 24HourGolf has played all 50 states. I know rgm2525, weber and sngernz have all explored a lot throughout the country, as well. I am stuck on 43 states because I didn't take any big out-of-state trips this year. Just little roadies throughout Northern CA, NV and AZ as I try to at least add some new courses to my list without spending too much on travel.

The 7 states I have not played yet are Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, North Carolina and Hawaii. Yes, I have purposely saved some of the best for last. Not surprisingly, some of the most expensive destinations, too (especially Wisconsin, North Carolina and Hawaii). If all goes as hoped, Hawaii should be the 50th state I play whenever the time comes. Who knows, maybe Samoa, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam will be states by then and I'll have my work cut out for me!

Only 4 rounds internationally for me and nothing outside of North America. Just 2 courses each in Canada and Mexico.

The most important question for you, Rob: is your company hiring? : )

d%mn , 24hourgolf! I bow down to the master.

I'll need to win the lottery before I can make a run at your kind of list.

QUOTED  The most important question for you, Rob: is your company hiring? : )

I'm still shocked I got the job in the first place myself! One of the perks though is definitely the golf aspect - lots of industry tournaments, sales retreats like this one coming up, and the occasional entertaining of clients with a few nice rounds here and there. Feeling very lucky!

I'm sorry, but that is seriously amazing and impressive. What a wealth of memories to draw from and comparisons to make amongst all of those great tracks - humbled to be in your presence 24hourgolf! And Weber with his 10000 rounds - it's incredible!

And since people are throwing in the international destinations, I have played once in Mexico near Playa del Carmen, and am planning a trip in April of next year to Mallorca to play for a week on that enchanted isle!
