Will be in the Laughlin area soon. Have a day to play golf. Laughlin Ranch has a tournament, but have a choice between two courses that I'd like to hear your views about the courses between: El Rio Golf Club & Los Lagos Golf Club.

I prefer Mojave Resort but if your only options are those two ... Id say El Rio has a more fun layout

Hi Thank s for your response. Please let us know any details you can volunteer about Mojave resort over El Rio and Los Lagos.
I just picked those two for no reason. I've never played golf in the area.
Thanks.

Mojave resort is up there in the ranks of Laughlin Ranch. Usually great conditions, generous fairways, and tough green complexes. It doesn't have the elevation changes of Ranch but it has great scenic value and water coming into play on 6-7 holes.

I agree with Matt that Mojave Resort is far superior to either El Rio or Los Lagos, and it is the clear #2 in that area behind Laughlin Ranch.

I would probably agree that El Rio has a slightly more interesting layout than Lagos, but I had a much better experience at Los Lagos. It was in great condition when I played it a couple years back. El Rio was not in good shape when I played it this summer. They had completely lost their greens over the winter, so they were just starting to come back in when I played. Not sure what they would be like by now. Neither course is super exciting layout-wise, but I think Lagos is a little better quality based on my personal experiences.

Keith, this is great... those are all very helpful info and I appreciate them very much. This definitely solidifies mpisarski01 original suggestions.

You guys are great, Thanks again!

I have to agree with Keith and Matt here. "Far superior?" Well, I guess that's a matter of opinion and somewhat subjective a statement, but Keith's and Matt's opinions rate very high in my book.

Los Lagos is not a bad track, btw. I much prefer that over El Rio. Unfortunately, El Rio was in terrible shape this past summer and I would say it was not playable when I showed up.

My buddy, money$worth, and I have played both those courses many times over the years when he was playing.

I also agree that Mojave Resort is a great track. They have the money and water to keep it in wonderful shape.

Noel, I wish I could join you, but the timing is just not there. Have fun!

Late to the party but I have played Mojave resort twice now in tournaments and it's really fun and both times was in great condition. I really want to play a 'regular' round here and see how I do. Have not played the other ones though but am playing Laughlin Ranch in a few weeks when out in Laughlin for a work trip again. But yeah, Mojave is good times ...
