Titleist 714 AP2 for about 4 years now. Since getting fitted with them, I had a reassessment about 6 months ago.I need to go with game improvement irons but I sure like the feel of them on a good day.My swing has slowed down incredibly in the last few years but just plain love them

I think I can relate to that. I was playing the Titleist 716 CB for three years. After a new fitting at the end of the year last year, I was fitted in 718 AP3.

I still have the CB and still love it. My misses are okay with it, but my distance is a club shorter. The shaft I have on both are nice Project X on CB, and NS Pro Modus on AP3. I think the NS Pro are great.

Irons - Maltby TS-1.....looks more like a muscle-back blade, but has some game improvement features built in. And it has foam injected. Everything is better when foam is injected. Tires. Seat cushions. Golf Clubs. Hostess Cupcakes and Oreos. All better.

Wedges - Edel. Usually I change wedges monthly. These have lasted in my bag for a year. If they had foam, they'd be perfect.

QUOTED  What irons and wedges do you play?

Play? Well, at least they're in the bag...

Irons:

Bridgestone J36 CB...4-PW

Currently set up with Nippon N.S. Pro 105GH S-flex shafts but there's a good possibility I may soft-step them. Similar head design to the J33 CB set I have but I prefer the squarer toe profile of the J36. Slightly different sole grind/shape but, overall, the cosmetic variances are quite subtle. And they're Endo-forged so the feel is about as good as can be.

Wedges:

Tourstage X-Wedge '03' model...52 and 58 degrees (both with 8* bounce)

Bridgestone's Japanese-only line that was introduced about fifteen years ago. Shafted with the Nippon N.S. Pro 950GH in R-flex, they generate a lot of spin on little pitch shots around the greens, giving me the option to play aggressively when need be. Pure blades and not for the faint of heart; sleek as a scalpel, they provide the same level of surgical precision...exactly what I'm looking for in a wedge.

Blades, see my call sign, circa 1968. I just can't part with them. I've borrowed and bought different cavity back sets from the last 3 decades, they all just aren't what I'm acustomed to.

I'm testing a set of WStaff FGv4 that are the best small head CBs I have ever had in my hands. They perform to my expectation and I can score near or at my index with them...but, I prefer my blades. They keep me sharp and more in tune with this game of good mi sh-t s. At my age now, my blades play 10 yards shorter than when I was in my twenties. But now I play straighter, smarter and enjoy the game more than ever.

One thing is for sure, there are a lot of tech and options for clubs nowadays that all of us can try...I like that.
Cheers

I play Epon AF-705. They look like shovels but feel awesome and i'm not good enough to play smaller heads.

I play once in a while with a guy who was fitted for Epon AF-705 at Club Champions. Once was a 16 now a 9. That was only a year and a few months ago. He used to play a small head bridgestone.

1PLUS1, you seem to like the Nippon Shafts. I do as well. A second set I had with NS Pro shaft, the Modus3 were very good. A 4th set with NS Pro was with the Modus3 Tour 105. I can't say enough good things about that last set of shafts.
