After over a year of being closed, Roosevelt finally reopened a fews weeks ago. Among things that were done. They installed irrigation using recycled water. Added new forward tees. Eliminated a few bunkers.

Other than those mentioned, the course is the same.

Condition-wise, it is good condition. Greens roll fairly well. Occasional bumps here and there . Tee boxes pretty level and good coverage. did'nt go into bunkers but they looked well stocked.

Fun course. Definitely glad this is back in rotation.

The Weiskopf course was the last installment of the 6 pga west courses. Sharing the same driving range with the other 2 courses (Palmer and Nicklaus).

Staff was super nice. Stocked up our carts with enough cold bottles of water to send us on our way. First hole was quite fun with a small creek running along the hole with 2 concrete bridges that remind you of the St Andrews.

Course was pretty open. Conditions were quite good. Greens had just been sanded but rolled true. REcommended pace was 4 hours but given the we had the place all to ourselves, we play way way faster than that.

Some of the hole went thru housing areas and the routing was a bit odd at times.

Overall, had a great time and certainly a unique course in the area. A+ experience and certainly recommended.

This is my son's first time at the Stadium course. Arrived at 5:40am for our 6:09 tee time. As we left our clubs near the bag drop, an attendant greeted us and loaded them to our carts. We walked in through an impressive clubhouse that includes Ernie's (we planned to get some breakfast to go but i guess it was still too early). We promptly got checked in and off we go to warm up.

All grass driving range, chipping area and putting green. World class facility. As we approach the starter, he quickly reminded us that this is one of the toughest courses in the western region. And he wasn't kidding. We both bogeyed the first hole. The course was not in the best shape but decent enough to give us a good experience. Some of the bunkers were a little thin and some greens have bare spots.

Made the turn and snack bar was closed. And no bev cart in sight. I guess getting out early, you need to bring your own food. There were water stations but no cups. Glad we brought our water bottles.

As we approach 16 and 17, the heartbeat starts to beat a little faster in anticipation of the 'wall' or as it is noted as San Andrea's fault and Alcatraz. I survived 16 but my son did not and had a good 16 feet of a bunker shot to get up to the green. As he climbed back up to the green, you can feel the tiredness start to creep in. I reminded him to take it easy and compose himself before heading to the island green. After he calmed down, we hit our shots and his landed 6 feet for his birdie try, while my tee shot landed on the fringe. We survived the hole with ball dry and went to get our pars and victory was ours.

Finished 18 in 3 1/2 hours (several holes waiting for 2some in front).

Fun day indeed at Pete Dye's masterpiece. Certainly will be back for more punishment soon enough.

It was a warm 100 degree afternoon and the place was empty. Dropped off our bags at the bagdrop and was promptly picked up. Proceeded to the proshop to checkin. We were told there was hardly anyone on the course and it is pretty open. Given this was our 2nd round for the day, we opted for just playing 9 and we were given the option of playing the back instead. As most people know, the back 9 is where the gravy is.

We didn't use the driving range but that is available to warm up for all patrons. Off we go to 10. Carts have gps, ice cooler with ice but no water. No bev carts either as there wasn't enough customers to warrant one i guess.

Course conditions were good. Tee to green lush with some areas browning but still decent to hit from. Greens were firm but hold shots. Some have a few ball marks left by previous players.

Finished in under 90 mins for 9 holes and that included several photo ops. Enjoyable round and kudos to all staff at the facility.

Had a chance to visit the course with my son. Staff all over was super nice. Provided us with plenty of bottled water. They also have water/ice machine next to staging area.

There is practice area with grass range and putting green shared by all 3 courses. Carts have no gps so bring yours. POP was under 3 hours. Course was pretty open.

Course conditions were superb. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. Didn't get into the bunkers but they looked decently stocked.

As mentioned in previous review, this course hosted the Bob Hope classic up until 2015.

Totally enjoyed our time here and definitely highly recommend it.

Went out last weekend as a 2some. First tee at 6am. They have a bag drop and you can call for golf services to pick up your clubs...or you can just bring them down the cartpath yourself. Using underpar voucher $99 for 2 people, checking was easy and quick. Rack$ i think was $140 pp.

Conditions overall was decent. Very green for the most part. Tee boxes lush. The only tee box that was a bit chewed up was par3 # 3. Also most of the par3s with water had a lot of duck poop all over the greens so we didn't really putt on them. Otherwise, the other greens were medium speed with decent roll. Carts do have GPS but not the touch screen ones. Scorecards also have green maps for pin placement position info.

Lot of water holes so check gps before hitting. There were a few that were in blindspots due to hills that we hit straight to. One in particular was #16 with water reachable with drives.

Finished a little before 8:30 and considered playing another 18 but doubt we could finish by noon.

Overall, a great day and definitely will be back.

One of our favorites to go during spring break. Nice relaxing round with views to boot. Conditions were not as pristine as it should be but we still had a good time playing.

The last few times we have been here, the greens have been unusually slower than norm. Given some of the greens have a lot of acreage, picking the right spot to hit the approach shots determine if you get a par or birdie.

Carts are very comfortable and staff always treat their customers right. Driving range today was mats but previously was off the grass. Decent range and practice greens to warm up but unfortunately, no short game area. I think they have one but is reserved for lessons.

This is where my son had his first birdie a few years back and have been a destination for us to unwind. Certainly will be back.

Another note. South is being aerated and have dropped their green fee to $129 so if you dont care about the greens, great time to enjoy the scenery.

Junior event last Sunday. Dont get why they would aerate the greens before a tournament but they did.

Other than the greens, everything else was fine.

Played here on Sunday with Stew, Kevin and Eric. Fun day despite the wet and muddy course. I did not rate the course as it was just after 2 days of rain and conditions were not the normal they usually have here. Agree with the previous reviews and greens are slower than usual due to the rain. Finished in under 4 hours with very relaxed pace.
Course is an easy walk (except for a few on the back9) and no hole is the same. I usually take my junior golfers here and Alhambra is quite kid friendly. Bev and snacks available for purchase at the turn. Overall, a fun course and will be back.

Played 1/6 for 1st round of the year. Was told they are under new management. Retained old personnel (which was good to hear).

Course was in decent shape considering it rained the previous day. Except for the on going bird/duck poop all over the 1st and 9th holes, it was an enjoyable walk. Greens were soft and medium fast. Still hoping people will repair their ball marks. Bunkers were a bit thin. But for $21 - certainly worth the green fee.

They have dramatically improved the conditions since last time i was here. Greens are great, fast and smooth. No ball marks as the members do take care of their course.
Fairways are ok. Some areas have bare spots but overall, good coverage. Bunkers could use some sand as the one we were in did not have enough.

This is course is a bit funky. Not your typical course as it is tight and unforgiving. Bring lots of balls. Few interesting holes that will tickle your fancy and give you something to talk about.

Certainly not the best in the area but then again it is not that bad considering the pace of play and conditions, i wouldnt mind playing here.

They have a warm up cage, a chipping area and a nice putting green. NO GPS on the carts.
Food is decent.

Arnold Palmer course in Palm Springs that is a must play when in town. Played last weekend in 104 degrees temp. It was actually a comfortable round. Not a lot of people playing so there was no waiting and we finished as a 2some in under 3 hours. Carts had ice chest/coolers with 2 bottles of water which was nice.

Had purchased the underpar voucher but there are deals available. Even their website had rates ranging from $58 to $85 (depending on what time).

We had time to hit the expansive driving range. Lots of open stalls.

Course was in great shape. Tee to green - lush and very good condition. Greens rolled true and was quite fun to putt. They were firm but fair. GPS on the carts were great. We had some issues with our handheld GPS though - i suspect probably from the rerouting done with the course. The 16th 180y par 3 was highlight on the back 9. I thought the 18th was anticlimactic.

Staff was excellent. From the proshop to the people in the grill. Food was decent.

Right now would be the best time to go before they do maintenance end of the month and temps are still bearable.
