Played here as a threesome on Saturday, 4/11/09. The pace was decent for a weekend round finishing in just under 5 hrs after teeing off around 11:30am. The rack rate in my opinion is a bit steep at $58/weekday & $86/weekend. But, you can usually find discount green fees online during the week in the $30+ range. We used a Red Dot 2 for 1 discount coupon for our round.

This course is fairly challenging despite the short yardage due to the tight, rolling fairways and all the environmental sensitive areas around the track requiring you to keep your ball in play. The undulating fairways/greens and slight elevation change give this course a nice character with great views of La Habra and La Mirada in the backdrop.

The greens were recovering nicely from aeration back in late-March and should be rolling true in about another week. The course itself was well maintained (fairway, rough, bunker, etc.), but the blue tees were playing further forward that day.

It’s a great challenging course that I enjoy and recommend, but definitely look for discount tee times online before booking.

I played here with a buddy on Monday, 4/6/09. We got out a little before 1pm and finished our round in about 4 hours. Granted they just aerated the greens last week which could have been the reason for the light traffic. Greens were still quite bumpy and slow, but the rest of the course was in great condition. We walked the course as a twosome and didn't run into the next group until the 12th hole who kindly let us pass through. A nice classic layout with plenty of trees, doglegs and a few water holes that make for an enjoyable round.
