"Played here on 5/12. This was my first trip to Palm Desert and Shadow Ridge and what a lovely place this is. The winds were howling this day and coming from the east coast its a new experience to have 90 degree temps combined with a 3 club wind. The course first of all is in beautiful condition and maintained perfectly. I didn't have time to use the practice facility but it sure looked fabulous. I struck the ball well on the front nine but managed to hit the fairway bunkers too often as they seemed to be everywhere. I played from the green(next to back tees) tees and maybe I'd play the tips the next time. The greens are medium speed and thank goodness for that due to their undulations. I played great on the back nine and made some career shots and carded 3 birds and a one under 35. I hit every club in the bag on this course so its never boring or repetitive. The people here wer very friendly and helpful. Go and play here for a really nice day."
