I recently played this course with my buddy's. We had heard the greens were sanded 1 1/2 weeks earlier and thought we were in trouble. To our surprise the greens were in great shape. The fairways like always were like butter. We were pretty disappointed with the condition of the bunkers. Mostly hard pan lies, no real soft sand at all. Play early because the afternoon wind is crazy at about 20 - 40 MPH.

Go online to http://www.eurekamesquite.com/ for a great online deal. 2 night’s hotel 2 rounds of golf 1 at Wolf and the other at any of the other local courses and all your drinks in the casino bar for free. I would recommend the Palmer course with the deal. All of that for $165 during the hot season and $270 for in season. They have a great Steak House and café at the hotel. Mesquite is just 50 minutes past Las Vegas and well worth the trip.

Played Wolf Creek on April 15th. The course was in immaculate shape. By far the most picturesque course I have ever played. My only complaint is that even from the blue tees, the course is rather short (about 6300 yards). I wish there was a set of tees that played around 6700-6800 yards (Back tees are about 7000 but only for "professionals"). Many of the par 4's are easily played with just an iron or 3 wood off the tee. We had a 2:20 tee time, but got off at 2:00 and finished just before 7:00. It was well worth the twilight rate of $110 that we paid.

Everything you hear about this course is true. The best way I've heard it described is that Wolf Creek is a Golf Calendar come to life. The yardage book is a lifesaver. I played the "Challenger" tees as a medium-long hitter 8 handicap and I was put to the test, but still shot mid-80s with a good ball-striking day. The course requires complete trust of shots. Lots of long forced carries, but nothing ridiculous. This is a fun course if you're looking for a change from a classic or resort layout. We dubbed this the centerfold of golf courses--it's obscenely beautiful. The only possible complaint about the course was that the greens played slow; fair, but slow. Putts you would expect to roll out a few more feet would stop short. We played twilight and felt the rate was appropriate--not a rip off and not a steal. I don't know if I would pay the standard in-season rate, but it's worth a trip.

This is clearly one of the most spectular courses around from a visual stand point, but as far as a golfing experience, I don't think I'd play it twice. From the gas powered monsters you need to get up and down the mountains, to the 10 min lecture and release form you must sign on the first tee, wolf creek can not be described as a plesant day. Yes, the course provides amazing views, but it would make a better nature hike than a golf course. If you're out that way, either go all the way to St. George or hit the courses at Primm Valley. Both places a far superior golf experience to surviving wolf creek.

One of the most spectacular golf courses I have played. And I have played the likes of Bulle Rock, Baltimore Country Club, Merion and many more. Don't pass it up !!!!

Played Friday Dec. 1 st worth every penny of the 115-120 dollars i paid to play. this is the 2nd time I have played here and I guarantee it wont be the last. The course is great the views spectacular a definite must play for anyone who loves golf.

An amazing place. It's almost worth the money touring in your cart. I shot 87 playing the whites and I'm about a 17 handicap so it's playable if you're relatively straight. It is slow but you don't really notice it 'cause you find yourself looking at the scenery most of the time. Course is in perfect shape and staff was very friendly. Got asked to speed up by the warden but he was saying that to everyone because it was backed up pretty good. If the wind its blowing at you on #3, use about 3 more clubs than you would normally. Must play for anyone. Just play shorter tees and less club and go for the fairways. You have more room than you think on some holes.

Paid the $110. Still think it's worth it even though I barely finished before dark. 5 hr round. Cart path. Name me a better track in Vegas.
