Played San Juan yesterday th 1st of Nov. They are overseeding so it was cart paths only. That made the GPS units useless, however some times amateurs rely on those too much, at least that's how I feel. The fairways got hit pretty hard with the recent rains and washed out in a few areas, but are overall in good shape. The newly seeded rough didn't have a good base and was hard to hit out of, guess I shouldn't have hit the ball there in the first place. The greens were aereated on the 5th of October and have recovered quite well. Overall this is a great value, and it the best shape it has everbeen.

Management has made great strides with this course. Fairways are coming back, and greens have always been good, considering the proximity to the ocean. Customer service is great! Bad points: only about five of the greenside sand traps have been rebuilt; tee boxes need to be rebuilt; some greens have pineapple weeds present. However this is well worth the money. Note, on the 18th & 19th of October, fall aeration will start

Played today 9/29. Course is being aerated!!! Got my tee time 2 wks ago and ask about aeration because my friend is in town for a special round. They said no plans to punch the greens on or before my date. Arrived at the course & the clerk said they punched the greens Monday (27th) but had been sanded and were not bad....we got out there and they were horrible, not only punched, but loaded with fertilizer, constantly being watered, and they had a sweeper running over half the greens as we approached. Bad experience, especially since I had checked before I chose this course for a special time with a friend I hadn't seen in 3 years! I was totally embarrased! How can a golf course charge for a round when you end up playing in a total maintance situation? Plus why didn't they let you folks know the condition of the course so your clients would know, I checked at the end of last week for your alert.
