Course doesn't drain well, so heavy rains take a toll. However, greens are the same in summer/winter. Until they're all rebuilt LS will never be the course they believe themselves to be.

Played as part of a PubLinks tournament on Nov 8. Rain affected Oaks on a few holes, some casual lakes. Overall course, Oaks/Creek, very good shape. Greens have responded nice. Some bunkers required drops due to casual water still. Major complaint was that the management decided to mess with the shotgun start and forced doubling up on holes. Consequently some didn't finish, others were in the dark. Poor management of weekday golf, taking advantage of the fact that money is in the bank, lets screw the customer concept.

Course should really encourage players to fill divot holes w/sand, and make sure sand bottles on carts are filled each round. Also, fix ball marks and RAKE TRAPS. It wouldn't hurt to run rake machine through traps on an every-other-day basis.

Some fairways, mostly on the back, have some re-soded and ugly spots, like a disease of sorts. A few tee boxes under repair forcing use of severe front, sides, causing some unlevel lies. I get those enough on my own without course forcing the issue.
Greens very good shape, not as fast as they look, nor could be.

Course is finally recovering from winter. Mowing is proceeding and they seem to be trying to firm up the greens. Fwys are wide, mowed: there is a discernable rough, and only a few fwys still have bare spots, the usual ones they always have problems with. To me, overall course condition depends on how they maintain greens. Today they were firmer and a bit faster than usual, which is a good trend. If they can keep the bumps out and keep em firmed up, I can overlook the fact that there's 3 different types of grass in the greens. When they open up their expanded driving range, that'll be another plus for the overall experience of being there.
