Have not played here in a while but obviously I returned too soon. Fairways were very thin with lots of bare spots. Greens were bumpy with ball marks. Bunkers were dirt. I only paid $13 dollars for a 5+ hr round and still felt like I overpaid!

Played Sunday 8/21 and surprisingly was not as hot as Ithought it would be and course in pretty good shape. Fairways brown in spots but grass was good and only a few overwatered areas. Greens have a lot of ball marks but rolled fairly true. Cutomer service very good letting us go out early as 2some starting us on 10 even offered to bring us our lunch from the restaurant when it was ready if we did not want to wait. Always a fun layout with lots of elevated tees with some breathtaking views. For $55 on a Sunday afternoon this course is hard to beat.

This one of my favorite course because of the variety of interesting holes. Played Sunday 7/31 and it was a bit wartm but the breeze made it OK. Best part of the heat was it kept eveyone else away so the whole day never saw anyone in front or behind us so we got to play at a nice steady pace. In OC this course would be $30 more so it is worth the little extra drive time, Service is great marshalls came around all day to keep us supplied with cold water in between cart visits.

Course is in relatively good shape but the heat is drying out the fairways which were starting get brown and bare in some spots. This a long course, 6500 from white tees, but not too difficult if you stay in the fairways. There are some new greens which are a little more difficult than the previous ones. Even though the course is pretty flat it is an interesting laout with a lot of doglegs.

Played Sunday 7/10 on Golfextra & it was still over $80 since they charge extra for carts. Course is in good condition. Greens are little bumpy, some bunkers had good sand but I was in bunker on 17 that had wet, heavy sand and a very low lip so I decided to putt from it saving par. My complaint here is that the course is not real exciting and only a handful of holes stand out like 11 & 18. I doubt I would pay full price since there are nicer courses out there.

Played Sunday 6/26 for senior rate which is rare on a weekend. Thought the course was a little better than a month ago but still has a long way to go to be worth their normal fees. Most of the greens were OK though a couple (#2) had some huge bare spots. the bunkers are bad with poor quality wet sand and sometimes puddles from overwatering. It is a great layout so it is a shame they don't keep it in better shape. Worth playing with a big discount but not standard rates.

Surprisingly poor conditions for this course. Fairways were very thin and brown some fairways were wet since it was very warm and they were presumably trying to prevent the fairways from getting worse. I was only paying $20 so it is hard to complain but I would not want to pay their standard $90 under the current conditions.

played Sunday 6/12 on Golfextra. Course in great shape. Rough very thick 3-5 in most area occasionally 5+. Greens were pretty smooth so if you missed a putt you had no one to blame but yourself. If this course was cheaper I'd play a lot more b/c layout is very good and rewards accuracy more than distance. Marshalls actually would tell you your pace was good so don't rush and then help look for a lost ball! Cartgirl showed up every 3rd hole so no complaints there. Definitely one of the better OC courses.

Played on 6/5 on Summer special but the rates are still too high for this course. Fairways very wet in some spots, some greens had large bare spots, most bunkers were wet heavy sand and 1 was like hitting off the cart path. Moist of the ball washers were completely dry. At 1 point the marshall said the 2some behind us said we were slow and wanted to play thru even though the marshall agreed we were on pace and we were waiting on the group in front of us; I won't repeat our response to the marshall but we never saw him again. This could be a great course however the conditions right now are not good and not worth their $$$ green fees.

Played SUnday & Monday on a $45 Donovan special which makes this course a bargain on a holiday weekend. Course in really good shape except heavy and sometimes wet sand in bunkers and too many ball marks on the greens. Everytime I putted I fixed 5 or 6 ball marks so I'm guessing no one in front of me was fixing theirs but that is golfer's fault not the course. #18 is still one of the best tee shots around.

Played Sunday 5/22 at 1:30 expecting a 6 hour round but it was wide open & took less than 4 hrs. Course was in the best shape I've ever seen. Greens were a little slow but what do expect that late in the day. Only probel is this website said they had a middday rate but when I got there they said it did not exist anymore so it was $50 which is a little pricey for this course.

This course has some interesting holes especially the back 9. Course overall in good shape especially the fairways, but, the greens need to be rolled since they were all bumpy. Also the bunkers are dirt some with rocks and even roots in them though there were signs that they were putting real sand in some (and hopefully all) bunkers. Saw the cart girl on hole 1 and when I was putting my clubs in the trunk! Where'd she go for 17 holes?
