MONDAY, MONDAY!!! IT'S LADIES DAY AT RECREATION PARK EVERY MONDAY FROM 9AM-12 PM, I NEVER REMEMBER THIS!!!! THE LADIES NEED A DAY JUST FOR THEM, HONEST THEY DO! BUT I WILL TELL YOU IT SLOWS DOWN AND ALMOST GOES BACKWARDS? GREENS WERE THE BEST IN LONG BEACH TODAY, BUT THEY WILL BE WORKING ON THE GREENS TUESDAY MARCH 23RD, HOLES AND SAND!!! THE FAIRWAYS WERE GOOD AND SO WAS THE SAND. GREENS WILL BE ROLLING BY END OF APRIL AGAIN. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ALL.

ELDO WAS A LITTLE DISAPOINTING TODAY. FAIRWAYS LOOKED GOOD MOSTLY, BUT HAD NOT BEEN CUT? THE WEATHER HAS BEEN GREAT, COOL MORNINGS AND WARM AFTERNOONS! GREENS WERE INDIFFERENT, BUMPY BUT STILL BETTER THAN MOST OTHER PLACES. JUST WAITING FOR THIS COURSE TO SHINE AGAIN, ONLY NEEDS A LITTLE WORK. MUST PLAY FOR EVERYONE.

POOR RANCHO PARK HAD TOO MUCH RAIN THIS WEEK! ALTERNATE GREENS TODAY FRIDAY FEB 27TH---? WE GOT A 6:18 AM TEE TIME AND SHOULD HAVE GUESSED SOMETHING WAS WRONG!!!! GOLF COURSES SHOULD TELL/ WARN WE THE GOLFING COMMUNITY ABOUT COURSE IMPERFECTIONS. NO THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND PUSH YOU OUT THE DOOR! I HAVE BEEN LUCKY NEVER TO HAVE PLAYED RANCHO PARK WITH ALTERNATE GREENS , IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH IT! SHAME TO TAKE THE LENGTH AND SHOT MAKING SKILL OUT OF THE COURSE. IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THEM GREENS A REST ONCE AND WHILE. WHEN IT DRIES UP I BET IT WILL HAVE ITS TEETH BACK!!! PLAYERS LET EACH OTHER KNOW WHAT THE COURSE IS DOING RIGHT AND WRONG, PASS THE INFO AROUND! HIT IT AND FIND IT , DO IT AGAIN.

WILSON WAS RUNNING 30-40 MINUTES BEHIND ON GETTING TEE TIMES OUT! WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE 8:19 AM, BUT GOT OUT CLOSER TO 9 AM? I BELIEVE THIS HAD TO DO WITH THE NEW CARTS? YES WHEN THE CART SHACK BURNT DOWN, PACE OF PLAY WAS SHORTER? OOH WELL! GREENS WERE A LITTLE BUMPY, NEEDED TO BE ROLLED. NEW SAND IN ALL THE BUNKERS, SO ITS SOFT, IF YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY THEM ITS GREAT. WE JUST BEAT THE RAIN AND LIGHTNING BY 10 MINUTES, THANK YOU! COURSE WAS PLAYABLE , NOT THE BEST CONDITION BUT HIT FAIRWAYS BUMP IT IF YOU WANT AND HIT GREENS. THE COURSE WAS NOT GOING TO BEAT YOU TODAY, ONLY YOUR SWING! LA MUNI'S ARE TUFF TO BEAT AT $22 BUCKS FOR 5+ HOURS OF FUN, ENTERTAINMENT AND LAUGHS. STAY DRY AND HIT IT AND FIND IT.

Hardings greens were hard and fast!!!! Yesss!! It took 2 greens for us to figure out what was going on but boy did was it fun friday at 8:45 am. I hit a real high ball and with some spin, i use a soft ball also, I had to work to hold these greens!!! Front of the green, no way , could not hold it. Had to hit some low runners to get on some greens. THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF LAZY GUYS DON'T FIX THERE BALL MARKS!!!! I saw very few ball marks out there and I only fixed a few from my own ball, like being at a resort or country club, never see ball marks there!! NO CARTS EITHER, GOSH I THINK ITS PARADISE AT LAST! WALK CUZ YOU CAN'T RIDE ANYMORE. Go play HARDING IF YOU WANT TO PLAY GOLF, NOT JUST DRIVE AROUND AND HIT A BALL!

It was a warm/windy day at eldo. The sun was out and we were playing golf. Eldo was in good shape on Monday!!! Played with a group of local ladies and a young man with a picture perfect swing. Tempo, smooth, balanced ! I had a golf lesson on every shot of his. The greens were rolling very well, with just a little moisture on them. The young fellow needed to learn to fix his ball marks, that was his only fault, it is a bad habit to get into!!!! Rain today, so no back to back eldo for me. Hit it in the short stuff, and get it on the green at eldo.

Rancho park golf course, Halloed ground? This is the crown jewel of LA muni courses. We seem to be diappointed every time we show up! Why ohh why can we not take some time and care to make this course wonderful? Storied past and with much tradition , will it be lost??? I hope not!!! Will i play it even though the staff is indifferent, never ever see a marshall do any work! Fix any ball marks lately guys playing rancho????? But for 22 bucks i guess you cant complan! When I have broken 80 here, only a handfull of times it makes me gloat for weeks. Putts are what matter here, and hitting from the fairways.

It rained last night so I knew the courses around la would be wet and slow. We decided to go to victoria? Had a 9:15 am tee time, and for $29 dollars we got a cart,round of golf,bucket of range balls and 2 coupons for some sort of breakfast and lunch? I never like to eat while playing! The course played wet and the tee boxes were very muddy. Greens were in need of 10 other golfers to fix 5 ball marks each and there would have been still to many holes!!!! d%mn it makes me mad when people are too good or to lazy to bend over and fix the ball marks!!!! But i will prob, say this every time i go out? My tan pants were a mess with mud and grass stains, stepped in a mud hole( thanks nike for goretex) in all it was a great day!!! Days like this sunny and light winds make me happy we all live in SoCal. not back east, much snow in new england! Any way CHECK VICTORIA OUT WHEN IT DRYS UP A BIT! $29 FOR 18HOLES AND CART WTIH OTHER GOODIES Hit it and chase it!

We are really lucky here in socal to have wislon and harding as local munis. For $22 you can walk 4-6 hours through some great golf courses, maybe even see some wild life enjoying the grounds. This time of year is tuff for golfers, rains, wind, aeration,general work on the courses ; kinda like the original golfers in the scotish highlands played it? We have this wonderful website to help us get the most out of yours and mine spoiled golf experience. We and that includes me alot of the time, won't go out and hit it if the weather or grounds are not a typical so cal day. I like this course and it played great that day, I played great that day. Was the course in perfect condition? No it was not but the greens were great, and thats all that matters! Go hit it when its wet and windy, putt on some sandy greens. Enjoy the game! :0 )

I don't know what it is about Lakewood? I always have something weird happen when I play there! Thursdays is ladies day in the morning, I forgot and showed up at @ 9:45am, they go from 9 am to 11sih, thats great. I go to the car to cool off in the aircondition and make some phone calls. I pop back in at 10:30 sih and the starter says he called me like 12 times? Who knows I dont know, did not hear anything, MY FAULT!!! But he says I left you on the list , WOW where else would they do that???? So I got out a little later in the hot hot heat! Long day out there, still had chance to break 80 from the blues but 3 putted and shot 81? At any other course I would not have had the chance to play today. Thanks to the guys working at Lakewood. P.S. Plugging greens on Monday OCT 27th.

7:30 am tee time at Wilson, had a birdie put on number #1 . What a great day to play golf with some friends! The course is looking pretty good for wilson, except for the tee boxes!!! #2 horrible, #3 worst i have ever seen! no grass anywhere, dirt and twigs put down some turf. The fairways were great, little wet that early but good. Greens were dewey and slow at first but help the line well. Go out and test yourself at this golf course $22 bucks to walk, a steal.

El Do needs golfers help! No one in my 5 some fixed any ball marks , I would find at least 5 or more big holes needing work. This is a great course, true test of golf here! The greens were rolling quick when no craters were in the way. If we as golfers don't take care of the courses , goat tracks will only be left. Hit it in the fairway, fix or replace divot. Ball marks fix yours and others always! Enjoy the game and help others enjoy it also by leaving the course in as good a shape or better than you used it. Pass it on , have a great time on the course next time!
