I played today 5/2/07. this course is in very good shape. I have not played it in almost 10 years. I will be going back... the greens rolled nicely and the fairways were cut. Rough was just enough to let you know you were not in the fairway. Very well taken care of.

The people at Black Gold try very hard to please you. They were excellent. The course is all over the mountain, you never know where it is going next. The fairways are nice for the most part. Don't get in the rough in places extremely wet and long. Way to many ropped off areas. Greens are not extremely fast but slick like a pool table. Ball does not hold any of the greens. Greens appear to be almost dead in spots.

4/18/07 This is a excellent course. Very well taken care of. The greens were ariated last month and are not back to true form, bumpy. greens need to be cut and rolled.

This course is very good shape, but won't be for long. Issues are slow play, divots in greens not being fixed by golfers, not raking sand traps, no marshall on course todeal with slow play from players hitting from tee boxes over their skill level. No drinking water and no cart girl. All they want is to get you on then course and get their money.
